Gutes Cyberpunk Adventure Game mit toller Sprachausgabe (Englisch).
Game stopping bug that still hasn't been fixed in three years. Mediocre too.
I started the game about a month ago, after completing a shorter point & click adventure that ultimately wasn't very satisfying to play. Born Punk felt like an immediate step up the ladder. The pixel artwork is quite beautiful, the voice actors are (mostly, with weird exceptions) very good, the interface was functional and there was an enormous amount of world building that drew me in. I read all of the exposition dump texts and got involved with the lore. Then additional player characters got introduced and the game lost me a little (never liked the switching-perspectives-trope, so that's on me) and the puzzles started to feel unintuitive -- which might also be on me, as despite being a big fan of point & click adventures, I am usually a very poor player as I lack the creativity and patience needed for some of the more outlandish puzzle solutions. Eevi is a great protagonist, Mariposa and Grandmaster Flash start off boring or annoying, respectively, but managed to grow on me by the half-way point. Then I got RL sidetracked (other games, a prolonged illness, work, etc.) and only played an hour or so over the span of two weeks. Today I started up the game with the intention of finishing it -- but it's too late, I lost interest. I am at the point where all player characters work together and there are a lot of locations and a lot of backtracking between those locations for puzzle solutions. I know this because I started looking up the solutions in a guide, because the game is no longer driven by the story, but seems to have devolved into a massive amount of padding, where both obtuse puzzles and long dialogues irrelevant to the main story are used to extend the game time. Without the interest level I had at the beginning of the game, all of the banter and dialogue and lore dump and backtracking feels like wasting time. It came to the point where I started to skip dialogue, which is honestly for the point & click adventure genre one of the main drivers for playing its games. After half an hour or so I realized what I was doing and stopped. It's over, I don't care anymore. A real shame. Maybe if you power through or manage to not be side-tracked by other things in your life (or are generally more attentive than me), you will have a different experience. But for me, I just lost interest. Or rather: the amount of "work" I would have to do (according to walkthroughs) to actually continue the story and have at least a small chance of rekindling my interest is, at this point of the game, too much for me.
Good pixel art, cool story and setting, but quite a disjointed and clunky game. And the ending is too short and confusing, and didn't explain literally anything. What a shame.
Born Punk has its moments. The puzzles are fine, Flash is cool and all. But overall, i feel i couldve passed on playing this.
Nice game! Nice art, decent plot, quality writing and voice acting. A bit rough around the edges in the puzzle department, but solid recommendation overall.
I don’t agree with giving this game a negative review. Is it perfect? No, but most games aren’t. It has great pixel art and I really enjoyed the story, as well as being able to play more than one character. Being locked out of the game by solving a puzzle in a different way than how intended, is certainly an issue—but avoidable. Any game that I get a lot of enjoyment out of playing deserves a thumb’s up imo, and I certainly had a good time playing this one. 👍🏼 👍🏼
Don't sleep on this point and click like i almost did .This a well made point and click sci fi adventure game. Great pixal art, story, characters , puzzles, and music. The voice acting is really good , flash almost makes think of the android characters robin Williams has played. All the characters have really distinct voices/accents. This has really unique and in depth world building for a cyberpunk setting ,i like that it isn't totally grim dark and has lots of humorous moments. Slight spoilers the ending is good ,but a to be continued kinda situation which will leave you wanting more. here's hoping that this game gets it sequel in the future.
Fantastic. Love this game. It’s what point & click should be. Need more games like this. More puzzles less text. Lucas arts style point & click is what I want.
