3/10 The game tries its best to imitate Game Dev Tycoon and it does it poorly. It has a few touches of its own but they are BAD. And not fun, not recommended. The best that I can say that it is Game Dev Tycoon at home. But it is extremely cheap for around 2$ last time I checked and sales decrease it to 69 cents (nice). This is a fine alternative to Game Dev Tycoon if you want to be even cheaper, it is fun though. I do not like what the future looks like though as the last dev log was last year.
This might be the best game-making simulator I’ve ever played. Even though I’ve already unlocked every achievement, I’m definitely going to keep playing. It feels like there is still so much to discover in this game. I’ve put in nearly 9 hours (8.8h) just today, which says a lot about its hook factor, even if it's too early to judge the long-term replayability. Had I known it was this good, I would have gladly paid full price. I’ve played a lot of management sims, including the more famous Game Dev Tycoon, but I have to say: Game Builder Tycoon actually feels much better to play. While other games in the genre can start to feel a bit stiff or clunky after a while, this one stays engaging and fun. The gameplay loop is smoother, and it just feels less "heavy" in the long run. If you’re looking for a game development sim that hits the sweet spot between depth and playability, I highly recommend this one! Pros: - Engaging Mechanics: Game development isn't just about allocating time; you also have to balance focus across various sub-categories. - Logical Research: The research system makes much more sense compared to similar games in the genre. - Clarity: The post-release reports are very clear and helpful. - Streamlined Creation: The overall process of creating a game is simple and intuitive. Cons: - UI Issues: There is no "Back" button in the game creation window. - Balance: You can "spam" the same game type repeatedly to win, which feels like an exploit. - Financials: The financial reports are a bit too shallow/narrow. - Lack of Variety: No option for multi-genre or multi-theme games.
El juego se siente muy repetitivo, ya sé que es un tycoon y que por definición es repetir lo mismo una y otra vez pero con mejoras, pero de todas formas siento que una vez encuenrtas una buena fórmula de juego te puedes dedicar a repetirlo una y otra vez y farmear dinero sin ningún tipo de esfuerzo. Creo que estaría mejor si quizás el proceso de crear el juego fuese más exigente que sencillamente escoger categorías, a lo mejor algún minijuego que pueda afectar al desarrollo de este haría que el juego fuera más sorprendente y dinámico. Igualmente no es un juego terrible, para mí suspende con un 4.5, pero si te gustan esta clase de juegos, uno de sus puntos fuertes es que es barato, puedes jugártela, porque de todas formas está bien para echar media horita de vez en cuando, en mi opinión lo que le pasa es que es difícil que el juego te atrape más de 30 minutos seguidos.

Le jeu est pliable en deux heures, vous pouvez même finir le jeu puis vous faire rembourser lol. Il suffit de garder ses employés formés entre deux jeux pour avoir 10 comme note à chaque jeu à partir d'un moment. Pas magique. Je mets quand même recommandé parce que les menus sont jolis et qu'à part la progression exponentielle (comment ce n'est pas possible de faire un trilliard par jeu? et ben ici oui). Il n'y a pas grand chose à redire. Par contre là c'est des jeux que l'entreprise produit, mais honnêtement cela aurait pu être des légumes en conserve ou de matériel pour animaux de compagnie, c'était pareil. Tout ce fait par menu, ils auraient pu être dans un langage inconnu, cela n'aurait pas changé grand chose, les choix n'ont que peu d'incidence. Oui il y a des configurations pourries surement, comme "Aventure visuelle" + "bac à sable" + "cash shop". Mais si vous mettez des éléments qui font sens ensemble c'est tout de suite facile. Le plus simple est de faire des essais dans l'entreprise au début tant qu'il n'y a que votre personnage, et de trouver des configurations qui font "Parfait" partout sur le rapport. Au moins deux comme ça, et puis ne faites que des suites de ces deux jeux en alternant, de préférence en mmo. Je m'arrête là sinon l'évaluation m'aura presque pris plus longtemps à écrire qu'à jouer au jeu. ;)
