🌟🌟🌟🌟 BoneTown: The Second Coming Edition is an unapologetically outrageous and entertaining sandbox game that knows exactly what it is: a raunchy, tongue-in-cheek experience for those looking to let loose and have some over-the-top fun. The upgraded visuals and improved mechanics breathe new life into the game, making this edition a solid step up from the original. The open-world gameplay is still as wild as ever, with hilarious quests, bizarre characters, and plenty of moments that’ll leave you laughing (or blushing). That said, the game isn’t without its quirks. While the humor is its strongest point, it might not land with everyone, and some of the mechanics can feel a bit clunky compared to modern standards. Still, the game’s charm and sheer absurdity more than make up for it. If you’re looking for a lighthearted and completely unique gaming experience—and you’re not afraid of its mature themes—BoneTown: The Second Coming Edition is absolutely worth your time. A cult classic reborn!

BoneTown is certainly one-of-a-kind, and for many that would be considered a good game. The game is as low-brow as you can go. Imagine all those sex comedies from the past, the American Pies, the Porky's, the Road Trips, now imagine those made on an even smaller budget with a script written by your 13 year old cousin who still thinks farts are the epitome of high comedy. This game is of course pornographic in nature, with fully explicit 3D sex, and yes that is the main draw, but the rest of the game pulls no punches when it comes to content. You take hard drugs as power-ups. It lampoons every culture, racial stereotype, and religion it can, it objectifies women in the worst ways possible. Why on Earth then, would I rate it positively? If you're playing this game, you're a discerning adult who can tell right from wrong, fact from fiction, reality from f-ed up video games. Let's not pretend like the developers had any sort of agenda beyond making a stupid porn comedy game. Except they did. This game is from 2008, by modern porn game standards that is ANCIENT. Back in 2008 porn games were crappy flash games you played on sites your mother thought would give you a virus, or were visual novels imported from Japan. The idea of a fully 3D open world sandbox porn game was beyond comprehension, yet these crazy bastards at D-Dub Software did it. Then they disappeared for years only to pop back up after Steam opened the adults-only games with their follow-up to this game: BoneCraft, which was a decidedly different direction focusing more on mission-based action than open world sandbox. A few years later and BoneTown returned with a vengeance... sorta. BoneTown: The Second Coming is a pseudo-remaster of the original. It certainly needed a lot of work since the original didn't play nice with modern Operating Systems, but it's far from a full-on remaster. Some textures are still notably low-res, and the game for all it's improvements still feels firmly locked in it's 2008 time-capsule. Still, it's a better job than Rockstar did with it's GTA Trilogy remaster. Of greater note than the remastered parts, are the addition of new DLC that adds in a huge variety of additional elements to further open up the porn sandbox. Allowing you to play out a lot more different types of scenes. These DLC feel very tacked-on the surface though and not fully integrated into the main game. Case in point, with the Lesbian DLC you can play as a girl and have girl-on-girl action, however this ONLY applies to the actual sex scenes. The rest of the game you're still playing as a dude in the open world and in the missions. The gameplay of BoneTown has always been a bit rough, with a less-than-optimized battle system that is simple but challenging due to that simplicity. You can very easily get stun-locked by enemies as they beat you into a pulp giving you no time to recover or react, and no way to break out of this lock. You can, however, use the same method against them. The game also strongly encourages the use of stealing identities, using drugs, equipping weapons, and unlocking power moves as these drastically improve your survivability in fights. Combat is pretty significant in BoneTown as most missions require it. The sandbox element is pretty fun overall, as you get to explore a lot of different zones, each with their own colorful inhabitants, hidden objects to find, drugs hidden around, bosses (which unlock new power moves), weapons, and missions. While the game is open-world, it doesn't push that beyond feasibility, and while each zone is big enough to give you room to explore, it remains content rich and you don't feel like there's huge wastelands with nothing to do. The missions are pretty lackluster, and usually involve either beating up certain numbers of people, having sex with a certain number of people, or a combination there-of. These missions are important as they unlock higher tiers for "ball level" which improves both your combat scores and who you can have sex with. Overall BoneTown isn't the most amazing porn game out there, but for it's time it was pretty darn impressive, and it's encouraging to see it still kicking due to it's importance in the history of porn games.
