About
Bodycam is the first ultra-realistic multiplayer FPS that was designed to push the limits of photorealism, delivering a true body-camera view that immerses players in the intensity of authentic combat.
See combat through the lens. You step in with a body-camera view. Close-quarters firefights hit raw and loud. Every angle you hold, every callout you make, every bullet you send matters. Miss a check and you feel it.
Bodycam pushes you to slow down, think through your tactic, and commit. Always stay alert, your reflexes count. You read space, time your move, and clear the threat.

Today, it has grown into an independent studio that has become much bigger, and we’re proud to be supported by a community that believes in the game and in the entrepreneurial adventure behind it.

Waaaaay too expensive for what is on offer, but it is potentially great. Though wait for either full release or a deeeeeep sale

I've played the game quite a bit. While I do very much enjoy it, I can't recommend it in it's current state. I will list off the most egregious issues that have been plaguing the game for far too long: - Inability to choose which weapons/no loadout system - Server menu does not accurately list what servers are available or what maps are being played on. I can try to enter a match and be kicked out because it's full, despite the menu showing otherwise. Even if I get into a lobby, there's no guarantee that the map it's listed as will be the one you'll be playing on. - There are no messages that explain why you got kicked from a lobby. You have no way of telling if it was from lag, the host leaving, teamkilling, the host kicking you specifically, etc. - You can't customize the sights on guns. There are several guns that have godawful iron sights and they're very difficult to use. Some of them don't even have any optical variants to speak of. Because the selection of guns is random every time you spawn, so are the sights. - Spawning issues. There have been many times in team gamemodes where the entire team keeps spawning on top of each other in the same exact spot. God forbid someone is AFK and you can't move. - You can barely customize lobbies. You have no say over what guns are in play, what sights can be used, no ability to fix team imbalance, can't set a time limit, etc. Some of the more minor issues include: - Music settings don't seem to work. I have it turned completely off, yet my ears still get blasted with that stupid ass welcome music every time I load up the game - Maybe it's just me, but penetration through wooden walls needs to be fixed. It rarely seems to work - If you try to enter a game and are immediately kicked out because it's full, the game for some reason decides to do it again even though you're not in a lobby? As in I will be back in the menu and it turns the screen black and makes the kicked sound effect. All that being said, the gunplay and overall feel of BodyCam is very nice. I enjoy a lot of the weapons and gamemodes available. I hope that the developers fix the current issues and continue to add on to what I see as a very promising game.

It is a fun game to play and I love the gameplay style with the bodycam however, for the price of this game it just isn't worth purchasing at the moment as there is not enough content in the game to keep you entertained. If you pick this game up for in around £10 then I would say that would be a fair price. There aren't near enough game modes or enough weapon types in the game and yes I am fully aware that this is an 'early access' game but for the guts of £30 that I spent on this game there just isn't enough content to keep me playing.

To start off with, yes this game IS a good concept. The gunplay is pretty alright, the graphics are obviously phenomenal, and it runs surprisingly well. I do have parts that I enjoy and most of the time it is a good game to kill a half hour with before it just gets to be a bit much. The maps are well designed for most game modes and the game modes are pretty fun though you'll have to host your own for some of the more niche ones. Zombies mode is honestly great even if it is confusing to figure out where to go and for those that don't know F is your flashlight by default. A special mention for Worn House and Russian Building as they are some of the most intriguing maps in any shooter. The negatives here are what drive me to NOT recommend this. The guns can feel... off. Most of the time they function well, but it seems to be if your ping is even 5-10ms too high they just don't do anything. Or, they aren't a repeating fact in how they act i.e. .308 will only sometimes one hit and sometimes you need three to four to bring someone down. The biggest offender gun wise is that there is not a loadout. Attachments exist, MICROTRANSACTION SKINS exist, and the menu for locker is right there yet you can't pick what you spawn with? Very ridiculous considering some maps you will be guaranteed to lose if you get given some of the bad guns for the area. Clearing rooms with a Dragunov isn't impossible, but damn do I wish I had a carbine instead. The maps as well are only good on certain gamemodes. Others you should leave before it even starts. Deathmatch is the least balanced of the bunch since it is Free-for-All with no spawn protection. Paintball will spawn you on your dead body with spawn protection that only lasts until you move which makes you a farm point for whoever needs to boost their points. Team deathmatch is good on most and then you hit The Backrooms and it plays more like search and destroy then a team game mode. It's just the lack of consistency that really brings this game down. I end up playing it more as you would a mini-game attached to something larger than as a fully fleshed game. Overall, it is a very impressive game and something that I hope I can come back to my review and change, but right now it just isn't there. If the price was cheaper then I wouldn't have as much issue with it, but there are plenty of other games out there for $30-$35 that feel less like a bloated tech demo. If you have the money and it goes on sale, picking it up wouldn't be terrible. Just know that it will be closer to something like the Half-Sword Demo than a full game and if you're OK with that then you'll probably like it. If not, you should probably wait for something else.
