Bloks is a mix of a god game and tetris. It has a few additional rules, but no tutorial. On your right, you will have the ingrediant list, hovering of these (even ones not made yet) will tell you how to make them. To combine elements, they must be touching with at least two squares from each. This will add the new material to the end of your queue. The exception is living things, which will be made immediately. You will notice there is also different matter states, water will flow, and gas will be passed though. Remembering how these work will be important to your survival. Take care to no clear your blocks with fish, plants, or humans. Also try not to crush them! You will make DNA by clearing a line, DNA can make humans, fish, plants, or birds. Birds are absolutely useless, they cannot be used for food. Once you have humans, ensure they have food and iron so that they can build a rocket and fly away. When you have done this once, the game will reset and become faster. Doing it a second time will grant you the hardest achievement in the game. It will be a lot of trial and error. It's difficult. It requires luck. it's simplistic. But it's enjoyable.

This game is pure torture You need a lot of luck to pull off a perfect setup to win After 3 hours of attempts, I gave up trying Mind you, this is not tetris. You do need to clear lines, but that would cause things to crumble downwards and potentially breaking your plan. And if it broke, you are better off redoing the game with a clean board. To win, you have to: Get iron, one of the final resources Make a human suitable habitat, which requires a combination of 4 resources Oh, and you need to clear lines to get DNA to even spawn human and food, which puts you at risk of breaking your setup. There is little to discover, you will know what will combine to what just by looking at the right bar The game presentation is horrible, tiny game area and no control setup Above all that, this is too dependant on luck to be viewed as a puzzle game. If you want to play tetris, go play Cultris 2, tetr,io or something. p.s. If we can choose when to place the produced resources, or have the abilities to hold multiple tiles, this would be so much more enjoyable.
Tetris meets God-Game. The idea is totally awesome, execution is decent too. It's a little tricky and the playing field is a bit too small imo, but nontheless this is a very unique and interesting puzzle-game.
Unique and interesting, but not well executed. Most people who have given this game a positive review seem to have only played so far as to unlock all the block types. The actual goal for the game is infinitely more frustrating, as it requires you to create a fully functioning human settlement so that they can build a rocket ship. As such, you have to provide a suitable living space with the necessary resources without accidentally destroying everything. How do you do that? Figure it out yourself. The game does not tell you and gives little feedback for it. There is simply too much variation for you to create any form of consistent plan. You'll often find yourself lacking a critical resource for long stretches, especially since your only ways to create more space only adds further resources that you don't need. Block shapes are almost always poorly suited to forming the combinations that you need, which rapidly creates clutter that you often cannot clear. Because the game is constantly moving, you have no time to plan out your strategy or remind yourself of the various recipes mid-game. Overall, you simply lack too much control to make the RNG elements of the game manageable enough to be fun.
Very cool game concept. Unfortunately, the cool mechanics take up a tiny portion of the screen, and there's a ridiculous amount of wasted screen space. I'd rather there was higher fidelity / larger pieces with a more traditional style tetris "upcoming piece" bar. Still, though. For the price (*especially* on sale), it's an interesting Tetris game that seems like it has a lot of interesting mechanics for the price. It's basically "what if tetris pieces were made of different materials." Some materials will combine when they touch, giving you a future piece of the new type. Other materials, like water, will fill holes. When you clear a line, you get DNA, which lets you spawn various types of life. Apparently the goal is to make life that survives long enough to build a rocket ship? It's an interesting spin on Tetris for a casual play. I don't think you'll beat this without buckling down and trying to learn the deeper combinations, but there's a lot of really cool ideas in here. I just wish it made a more reasonable use of screen real estate.
Desperately needs multiple quality of life changes. Block hold, a larger play field (seriously why is the play field only like 1/8th of the screen?), and more lenient matching rules and this would be a truly wonderful game. As is, much like most sokpop games: good concept, cute style, awful execution.
