Funky roguelike dicebuilder that meshes the regular dungeon crawling formula with Balatro! https://youtu.be/NEyk04BYwVA
Blasted Dice is a numbers game where the best numbers are how ever high you can get them! The game features a multitude of passive and active items to purchase at the shop, as well as "Keepsakes" which you get to pick every 5 levels, the build possibilities are endless and the number combos are oh so satisfying! Do not be frightened by the fact Math is involved as you can guesstimate pretty easily and always going for big combos isn't punished. This is definitely a game you'll sink hours into and you'll still discover new builds. Did I mention there's also hidden secrets? It's nice having someone to talk to! Definitely recommend this game!
Short review: Its fun and worth your money u can get an easy 30-40 hours of fun, the combat is fun and has and an addicting gameplay loop especially when you're trying to figure out optimal builds or just doing wacky things that work. Long review: there will be a bit of spoiler so please be warned. There is a lot of RNG its still fun to play dont get me wrong but my lord sometimes your build is so good but your RNG makes you lose, there is nothing worse than everything going well then all of a sudden you're hit with a 1,2,3,4,5,6 dice selection on an enemy attack making it so u cant block enough damage and u just lose. Of course there are ways to counter this e.g going with only up or down dice, having the yellow diamond, having actives that let you take a hit without dying. These methods are fine I guess but it makes you feel forced to play in a certain way which I dont like. There is a certain purple keepsake iykyk that makes this forced play style just go away however you only have 2 chances to get it per run so multiple times I have just abandoned a run because I didnt get it. Im not saying change the keepsake although I do have an idea on how to make it a lil weaker but still good. I think you should add a free reroll per round Imo it would make the combat feel better. You might need to balance the boat passives but it shouldnt be too game breaking unlike a certain flute. Another rng thing I dont like is getting the same passive in the shop twice in a row sometimes even 3 times in a row like i already didnt want it please stop taking the spot another actually good passive could spawn in, I think this would help with getting certain combos as well. I also dont think your own health scales well enough maybe making the health 25 for 25g instead of 25 for 50g u can play around with it Idk but even getting the rod on stage 4 it doesnt feel good enough to keep until the end. Okay the last thing I have to say is. Possibly an endless mode? I would really enjoy it, it could even be locked behind opening the door if you want, it doesnt have to be anything crazy just something like going through all the stages again but each time u restart u get a curse or for lore u can call the curses rocks. so each restart u pick 1 of 3 rocks just like the keepsakes the effects could be like 2x enemy health, 2x enemy damage, halves your final attack score, halves your final block score, 1 less dice option from the 6 (can be taken a max of 3 times so minimum dice amount is 3), 1 less playable dice from the 4 (can be taken a max of 2 times so minimum playable dice is 2), there are more things you can think of but this is just stuff to consider. If you read all this first of all thank you second of all I hope you understand I love this game I just hope it could be a lil better aight peace muah <3
Fun little game, been looking forward to it since the demo dropped back in February. Gameplay is deep enough to hold your attention for a while without being too confusing, and it's a good game to jump into for a couple of rounds at a time. I haven't completed a run yet, but each run I've done has lasted anywhere from like 30 minutes to an hour. Lots of fun to stack active and passive abilities with special dice that can do big damage if you plan it out correctly. I believe it's worth the asking price. If you're not sure, just try the demo out first.
I could have won the game on my first try but i decided to change one of my 5 items to something i thought was better and had initially done 12000+ dmg and this enemy had lower then that so i decided to risk it and attack the enemy instead of defend but the new combination i had only did 9900 dmg and the enemy insta killd me bc i was riding on 25 hp the entire run
Great game and very enjoyable. The different dice are fun to build around, and in general, it feels like a pretty cool Slay The Spire + Balatro combination of gameplay with its own unique spin on things. I love the way it integrates like hints on how to unlock things in the dialogue as you play and sets up some lore for this little universe. Overall a really fun game that I plan to play to unlocking more things in.

Great game and is really addictive
Picked it up on a discount so wasn't too disappointed, but If i picked this up for full price I would be fuming. The game is very unpolished with very few animations and very repetitive music throughout the game. The build variety and content is pretty light, i only saw maybe 5-6 different dice types in a 1h+ run and there wasn't much to differentiate them. the balancing on the relics is poor, most of them feel like they have close to 0 impact on the game. It just feels really lacking in depth and is to be honest, pretty boring
It's cheeky and unusual, not in its ideas but rather its execution, like the power scaling and balance. For that reason, I might be happy to recommend it, assuming it was in fact balanced well. Unfortunately, I didn't play enough to know whether it is in fact balanced or not. The main issue is it is extremely punishing for not knowing all of the mechanics, it doesn't have enough UI tips to help make the game more accessible. Compare this to Balatro, where it will tell you before you lock in your hand whether it is a pair or full house or straight or whatever. In this game, a single 1 dice counts as "something", and therefore disqualifies it as "nothing". If your have an item that only procs on "nothing", you might lock in a 1 and not realize you just screwed yourself because you're now blocking for 24 instead of 360, and you instantly die. Of course, many of these things can be learned over time, but it is frustrating to lose games over this kind of issue, especially when there is no quality of life to help. No undos, no pre-calculations, nothing. You either know what you're going to score, or you don't. Sometimes roguelikes give you this moment where you hit an absolutely massive score due to interactions so complicated you have no clue what is even going on, and because you forged that build yourself, piece by piece, step by step, it feels satisfying, like you've given birth to a beast you can no longer control. Even if this game were to give you that feeling, it requires that you absolutely must control the lows. If you ever lock in a dud without realizing it, you could just die. You need to fully grasp every single piece of your well-oiled engine, a cognitive load that can be very exhausting.
