Blackwell Deception

Just completed the series and it was great - wonderful story, moving characters, humor and tragedy, and everything I want out of a detective noir game. I cannot recommend this series enough.

I've been playing all of these games around the same time and so far, they've mostly only gotten better with each entry. As usual, the art, atmosphere, and ost are all on point. Great stuff. I very much enjoyed the experience. The story in this one introduces more supernatural elements than previous games, in terms of danger, it certainly feels like the series is building up to something big in the fifth entry but I can't comment on if that's done well sense I've yet to play the last game in the series. I feel like some of the puzzles required more back and forth and attention to detail compared to the previous titles, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Llegando a la recta final de la saga, Deception no me terminó de encantar pese a verse un mejor acabado en cuanto a aspecto gráfico y una mayor progresión en la historia... lo que me lleva a pensar que quizá se hubiera podido condensar en mejor en menos juegos. Las actualizaciones de 2025/2026 fastidiaron los archivos de las comunidades de fans hispano que se dedicaron a traducirla por amor al arte, allá por 2020. Por ende, jugándola por completo en inglés, he de mantenerme en lo que dije respecto a las anteriores entregas. Si te da igual leer y jugar en inglés, adelante. Si por el contrario te cuesta y quieres ahorrarte el dinero que se ahorró Wadjet Eye Games en localizar a tu idioma este título, dedícaselo a otra compañía que SÍ se preocupe en aplicarlo.
