BIT.TRIP FATE

It was so boring i was hard to play 15 minutes

Out of all the Bit.Trip games I've played, this one's probably the least rhythmical, but that doesn't make it any less recommendable for what it is. As a railbound shmup the folks at Gaijin games yet again experimented with a different gameplay style from the previous ones, so you've gotta give them credit for creativity. Nonetheless, unless you position yourself pixel perfectly like before all your runs may vary in some minor ways and make you improvise. That's not a bad thing per se but in some levels it can be a bit bothersome with the way the enemies are positioned and the limited way you can move if you try to go for clean runs. It doesn't help that the soundtrack while techno wasn't as engaging as the rest as far as I'm concerned. Even with all of that I wouldn't say the game's any bad. In a couple of hours you can traverse through abstract levels and a bundle pack of 8 bit effects now as well as different power ups and lots of combo rewards in score (and achievements). However this wouldn't be the first game I'd recommend from the series.

A splendid port of BTF. There are a couple issues, like the game defaulting to Easy when you first download it, no Linux support, but otherwise, it's a fantastic game in it's own right, and certainly better than every touhou ever made as it doesn't have anime. You should pick it up.

BIT.TRIP FATE is a good old bullet hell with a on rails system..... it stays true to the BIT.TRIP formula of chill electronic music vibes and dodging stuff to survive. Overall a good little time waster that is as simple as it is enjoyable. Full recommend... ...was a great recommendation, thanks Mt. Dew Robot!

Its a good port, objectively worse than the original release but there are achievements and trading cards/badges so you can level up your account with this game too
