BioShock™ Remastered

It's hard to describe the amazing environment of BioShock. Perhaps it's just a personal preference, but the art, the art deco architectural flairs, the music from radios and record players, and the general undersea paradise of Rapture are something that brings me back again and again. The game mechanics are great enough to start, but keep growing as the game gets deeper and more intricate. New items are discovered, new resources, and new machines that let you create new and familiar items, that gives you a range of gameplay options that keep the gameplay from getting stale. And the story behind it, with your trusty guy-in-the-chair Atlas and your quest against Andrew Ryan, exquisitely done. That would really be good enough. But then you notice the floor is shaking, and then the walls are shaking. And a gigantic behemoth of angry death (adorably referred to as Mr. Bubbles) comes stomping around the corner to change your day into a nightmare. If you haven't been to Rapture yet, it's time to get started.

I had a lot of fun with this game. I had never played it when it came out, bought the trilogy on sale! There are lots of choices to be made in terms of which weapons, power ups to chose, if you save or harvest the little sisters, I have no idea what happens when you harvest them because of course. I played through on the steam deck without issue, would recommend!

Bioshock is a piece of gaming history that etched the very framework of what gamers expect out of a AAA title. The story of this game has the greatest plot twist ever put to controller. The story of this game was so prolific on the gaming sphere that the same exact writing team couldn't replicate the lightning in the bottle a second time with the sequel. The gameplay was revolutionary for the time allowing you to customize your character's loadout as a direct result of your moral choosing. The choices you make in the game all flow down river at the climax of this game's ending. It truly made you feel immersed in Andrew Ryan's failed experiment. I highly recommend to anyone that can get past the 2008 time capsule to experience this game blind without any guidance.

this game felt like a really solid game overall. The story is well built and the world is pretty unique. Rapture has this heavy, creepy atmosphere that keeps you interested without needing to overdo anything. The gameplay can feel a bit old at times, but it doesn’t really take away from the experience.

I'm not even going to waste your time, this game is a Certified Hood Classic that still holds up to this day. If you have never played this game, I highly recommend this game. This game somehow has features that modern games don't even have. For example, elements reacting to each other, such as electrifying water to shock enemies, this type of gameplay is very prevalent in this game and doesn't get overshadowed by just shooting the enemies, creating moments of creativity that modern video games focusing more on movement seem to have overlooked. Exploring the City of Rapture and listening to the audio tapes are still one of those great hooks that keep you playing, listening to all these people and their insane schemes paint a clear picture of the chaos that happened before you arrived. It's no wonder that the entire city went to hell. This entire game has it all; it even has a unique atmosphere. '60s, the United States, but underwater. You have to admit this is something not many people get to experience. And for that, BioShock would forever wear this badge of creativity.

Bioshock is one of the most influential FPS games of the past 20 years. Innovative gameplay with an interesting story that is very relevant in our current time. Probably in my top 10 games ever

[/b] Now, I believe everybody should, at the very least, [b] know [/b] this game by now. if you don't, you may be a casual gamer (in which case, please play it. even if you don't like FPS). Buuut if you do, the remastered edition adds some nice curiosities that incentivize another playthrough! After all, this game is like someone that you died but really never went away... and without even changing his name ;)
