An enjoyable and (not said lightly -I like tower defence but rarely find one I enjoy) good looking tower defence. What appears simple turns out to be quite challenging too. Not bad for the casual tower defencers out there.
Full review: https://thegamehoard.com/2026/05/09/picking-up-steam-beware-planet-earth-pc/ Beware Planet Earth’s tower defense gameplay is decent but a bit unambitious, the towers, lane layouts, and aliens working well enough to provide levels that require some thought to overcome… at least until you factor in the Zapper. The little ray gun adds a layer of constant involvement yet comes with the drawback of it breaking down if used too much, but with levels designed around its constant use it goes from a tool to let you be more involved in taking out Martians to a bit of a nuisance. It doesn’t require much strategy to hold down the left mouse button and the gun’s presence clearly impacted how powerful individual towers were allowed to be, Beware Planet Earth not completely sacrificing tactical tower building but losing some of its focus in pursuing a rather plain form of active involvement.
Beware Planet Earth feels a perfectly passable tower defense game with a good art style, however it's really just not for me.

This is a simple, by the numbers little tower defense game. It has a vibe similar to the old Plants vs Zombies, but with more traditional tower defense mechanics. The base difficulty is fairly easy, but starts to spike quickly in the second half of the game. The number of allied units is kept relatively small, which keeps things simple. There isn't a huge variety of enemy units, but each is different enough to be meaningful. The mechanics generally cleave closely to the genre, but there are a couple novel elements introduced. The main places it differs from typical tower defense are: 1.) You gain no points from killing enemies. All currency comes from economic towers you build. 2.) Rather than having a base with health, you instead have a number of cows that the martians attempt to kidnap. They have to both reach the cows and return to the spawn point with them, giving you around twice as much track to fight them off. 3.) There are various tools you need to actively click to use, including a captured martian raygun or a cowbell to encourage captured (and then escaped) cows to run back to their pen faster. You also have to manually collect currency from your towers. So overall, it's a bit of a different experience, but still solid tower defense gameplay. There's really no downsides here, except perhaps being a little on the simplified side. It's a great game to try out the tower defense genre, though tower defense veterans may want something with more variety or more depth.
Cute game. Yes, it is old! And it is not the most strategic TD on this planet but not everything has to be a competition. I enjoyed the cows and aliens. It was a nice game to play when you just have not much time. I have this game for years and I still play it from time to time (and one day I will have all achievments :D)
This game is A W E S O M E really strategic fun and relaxing it was a part of my childhood i really liked this game.
fun and simple tower defense. this is a great way to introduce some to the TD-genre if they have never played. This game does not get overly complicated, but still entertaining. Love the graphics design.
Tower Defense sencillo pero mucho mas desafiante que PvZ2, una obra de arte
