Took me about 9 hours just to complete the game and that includes a few hours of runs that crashed and couldn't be reloaded. was fun at times when you weren't fighting bugs instead of AI
TLDR: Don't get. Doesn't work. 0/10. Would not play again. Very fun. Got this game whilst drunk. played it and realised that that loading a save would make my game practically (almost entirely) not work. It also has a large amount of bugs that will make you need to Alt + F4 (examples include alt tabing meaning that you would have to beat the game in one siting). Meaning you need a run where no error occur so that you can reach the end of the game. I said that I bet I could 100% it and then started playing the next day. It took 5 hours to get a save that would not break followed by 10 hours to 100%. I now hold the world record for 100% speedrun for this game.
Beast Quest
A furry flop Beast Quest is a mediocre fantasy adventure that fails to live up to its potential, leaving players disappointed with its lacklustre execution. Despite the promising premise of battling mythical creatures and saving the kingdom, the game falls flat in various key areas, making it a forgettable and frustrating experience. Graphics and Artwork: While Beast Quest's graphics are passable, they lack the polish and attention to detail expected in modern games. The environments feel bland and repetitive, and the character designs lack creativity, often resembling generic fantasy archetypes. This lack of visual diversity contributes to a dull and uninspiring game world. Gameplay Mechanics: One of the most significant shortcomings of Beast Quest lies in its gameplay mechanics. Combat is overly simplistic, relying on repetitive button-mashing without any strategic depth or complexity. The lack of varied moves and combos quickly makes encounters feel tedious and unengaging. Additionally, the clunky controls and unresponsive actions lead to frustrating moments during critical battles. Storyline and Characters: The game's storyline is formulaic and fails to stand out in the saturated fantasy genre. Players take on the role of a forgettable hero, lacking any discernible personality or development. The supporting characters are equally forgettable, offering little emotional connection or depth to the narrative. As a result, the game fails to create any investment in the fate of the kingdom or its inhabitants. Exploration of the World: Exploring Beast Quests's world falls way short of providing a immersive and enjoyable experience. The world feels sparse and lacking in meaningful content, making exploration a monotonous affair. The absence of interactive elements and interesting side quests leaves players with a sense of aimlessness, diminishing the potential enjoyment of exploring the game world. Replay value and Content: The lack of replay value in Beast Quest is evident as there is little incentive to revisit the game after completing the main storyline. The limited content, coupled with the absence of meaningful choices and alternate paths, diminishes any desire to replay the game or invest additional time in it. Overall, Beast Quest is a disappointing attempt at creating an engaging fantasy adventure. With its lacklustre graphics, shallow gameplay mechanics, forgettable storyline, and lack of replay value, the game struggles to stand out in an already competitive genre. Players seeking a truly immersive and fulfilling fantasy experience may want to look elsewhere for their epic adventure fix. Absolute cinema 10/10 MUST HAVE GAME. Can't believe i was the only person in the world playing this at one point, more people need to experience this.
Very janky, terrible controls (not very responsive), stiff animations, bad writing and terrible voice acting, subpar graphics, wouldn't recommend it even if it was free.
