Game doesn't work, crashes constantly a few minutes in. This is apparently a problem for everyone with modern CPUs (despite the game only being 9 years old, and the problem popping up only a couple years after release), and the solution seems to involve entering command lines to change my PC's system variables. Kind of a big ask for me to alter OS variables in order to play I game I paid for instead of just *fixing the bug that popped up a couple years after release*. Either release a patch or charge like $5 to reflect that it's a broken product.
Random crashes and lag in a 6 year old game. Amazing.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Game keeps crashing within 5 minutes of starting it. Tried the standard fixes like updating drivers and starting the game as administrator. Didnt work. Cant be bothered to try the more complex fixes, since it shouldnt be my job to get the game into a playable state.
The game didn't even load for me, I tried about 6 fixes for this game for my issues but I never got past the main menu
Bought it on sale to play it on steam deck because a friend wanted to play it coop and i was like «why not» So you need to finish some missions to be abel to start the coop. However ghen we realized that EAC is blocking me from playing the coop. But i had allready too much play time to get a refund. So thank you for nothing It is an ok game. But my intention was to play with a friend and for me the game is not that great. Please fix that! Tl;dr Game okayish Multiplayer not working on steam deck
*Very Important: I played this on a native Windows 10 PC.* I know people have problems on Windows 11 and you need tech fixes to get it running so thats important. But for me the game ran smooth as water. 0 Issues / 0 crashes / 0 lag ___________________ Glory for the Emperor. I just finished the IMperium campaign and there are 3 more!!!!!! This game is basically a simplified Total War 40k in Space. I wont be surprised the recently announced actual TW to have taken some things from Armada. The story and setting are beautiful integrated with each other. Gameplay loop is awesome but it does get a bit grindy as there are just so many attack constantly nagging your systems and as you conquere more sectors it becomes a bit of a chore to managed the attacks. There are multiple plots to follow 1 for each faction you fight so that was a very nice touch. The story was really good and made total sense. Absolute Cinema as they say! My only regret is this title apperantly flew under the radar and not too many people got into it. It really is sooo good. I hope the devs patch it for Win11 and allow more people to experience it. Super under-appreciated game! 9/10 Would Conquer Cadia again!
Literally just bought this game and have loaded it up 3 times now for it to crash within 30 seconds each time. Can't even load the tutorial/prologue mission
the campaine is great, but you can only play as 4 factions, the others are stuck to multiplayer and no one wants to play, also anti cheat for single player
Crash to Desktop. Editing the files may work for some, but you shouldnt have to do the devs job for them, and pay them for the game.
Coming back to this game many years later after getting frustrated and quitting the first time around, and have run into exactly the same issues again. The single player campaign is badly balanced. It assumes you are going to try and cheese every fight through kiting and abusing the (very bad) AI. So it throws ridiculous numbers of enemy ships at you to compensate for the lack of intelligent play from the computer. This makes every fight a horrendous slog at best. The boarding system also massively punishes you for trying to play anything other than max range keepaway, as the one thing the AI is able to do, is use cooldown abilities on millisecond timing, and pixel perfect ranges. So all of your ships will be swamped with boarders as soon as you let them get close. Which brings me onto the final point, which is that the game stops being any sort of fun once the tyranids are introduced to the campaign. The game would be better if they weren't in it. If you like RTS multiplayer there's probably more here for you, but as a singleplayer experience its lacking.
