Good game, it really holds up. It's old school challenging like ad&d and NES era gaming.
Nothing much to say really that hasn't already been said by other people. It really is a classic that everyone should at least try to play. There's one mod that makes the game a lot less tedious imo: https://gibberlings3.github.io/Documentation/readmes/readme-cdtweaks.html It adds a bunch of qol and "cheats" but I only used it for faster walking speed outside of combat. You move REALLY slow with the default walk speed but by just increasing it 50% makes the game so much better to play. It's a bit weird to install since you have to press Yes or No to the stuff you want until you get to the walking speed part. My only big complaint is the companions Beamdog themselves added. They are literally forced down your throat. They are soo badly written and makes me cringe every time they speak. Luckily all their text is voice acted so you can easily tell them apart and refuse to let them join your party. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird to add your own ♥♥♥♥♥♥ characters into a classic game. Either buy it off a key site or pirate it so they don't get any money
