Works great on the steam deck. Amazing game.
keeps crashing after about 4 or 5 seasons and i have to start from the beginning. I get Simulation Matches that fail to progress to the game. I end up losing the entire franchise because of this. I put too many hours into developing a team for this to occur. Get this bug fixed or I am not buying Axis 2024. I decided ti uninstall and reinstall. I am only playing one team and after 3 seasons the draft has locked. I cant get past it to start a season. This is ridiculous.
Gameplay has improved since 2015, but it's still bad.

Gameplay:
The QB's throws are aproximate and the receptions sometimes seem very easy and without defender but still miss. Contact is still catastrophic and player movements are more fluid, but it's still bad. There are very few options on offense and only classic schemes, and on defense it's even worse. The blitz compo with 7 players against 4 can be blocked, a QB can never have so much time to throw on a blitz, it's not possible. The coach mode is interesting, but I'm back to the fact that there are too few composers, which makes the game incredibly predictable. Collisions between players on the same team are unbearable. I chose 2023 because there are too many negative reviews on 2024, but I believe that the majority of positive reviews are made by EA Haters.
Graphic design:
There has been little improvement since AXIS 15, but the game is much smoother.
Nothing allows AXIS to compete with Madden NFL except the price. Today's developers have to stop trying to make a simulation, because they don't have the skills or the resources to do it. You have to create your own style; you'll never be able to compete with EA. Your games are arcade only, so do what you've done with arcade basketball games like NBA Street, offer us a game with style, a game that offers something different, something new. Gameplay is whack. Passes going in places that don't make sense, missed tackles that don't make sense, computers never fumble the ball but your team does, just very janky and uneven. I like a lot of the aspects of this game (franchise mode is cool), but the gameplay and braindead CPUs don't do this game any favors. Stiill better than Madden though.
The dev pours so much love into these games you can see the improvement every year. I really wish we could get something similar with a basketball game
Very good. Better than madden, even if the trailers aren't as flashy. Not AAA polished but it still holds it's own up there with the greats. You wont be disappointed, but if you are, if you have less than two hours you can refund it. 9/10
Its better than Madden in my opinion. Lots of customization options to make it your own.
Doesn't recognise controller and M&KB doesn't work in menus.......save your money.
I don't get why these Axis games get so much hype around them, they're just as bad if not worse than the more recent Madden games. The A.I. and mechanics of the game are janky. I throw the ball to the intended target and they just sit there and either don't turn to catch where they're supposed to, or the do stupid ♥♥♥♥ like run out of bounds, the teams are all janky as well, the stats feel misleading for the teams, I tested this by making 1 team the worst you can make them stat wise C-Offense C-Defense C-Overall, and then I made a team B+ B+ B+ and both teams played just about the same. These games are garbage and I'm not going to jump on the "Hype" because the game "Isn't a Madden NFL game", that shouldn't matter. A game be it an official NFL game or not should be better. Both Axis and Madden NFL are on my "NEVER TOUCHING EVER AGAIN" list.
This is what Madden should have become.
