I don't get why these Axis games get so much hype around them, they're just as bad if not worse than the more recent Madden games. The A.I. and mechanics of the game are janky. I throw the ball to the intended target and they just sit there and either don't turn to catch where they're supposed to, or the do stupid ♥♥♥♥ like run out of bounds, the teams are all janky as well, the stats feel misleading for the teams, I tested this by making 1 team the worst you can make them stat wise C-Offense C-Defense C-Overall, and then I made a team B+ B+ B+ and both teams played just about the same. These games are garbage and I'm not going to jump on the "Hype" because the game "Isn't a Madden NFL game", that shouldn't matter. A game be it an official NFL game or not should be better. Both Axis and Madden NFL are on my "NEVER TOUCHING EVER AGAIN" list.
Works on Steam Deck, too
good game
Good game at a good price.
Yes, I would recommend Axis Football 2023 for everyone.
A fun football game
I appreciate the effort and all but its just too unfair even on rookie difficulty, the ai offense is unstoppable. its ridiculous
Love the effort here .. franchise hits all the right notes, ala madden 05-10 era .. was so excited to play it, until i played it. It's passable if your expectations are very low .. its actually better than i thought it would be, but its very frustrating to play and needs a LOT of work to be called a football simulation. Plus you cannot sim any plays, and the CPU will not play for you if you put the controller down like uhhh every other football sim ever. I hate hate hate being forced to play defense, and especially on this game playing defense is incredibly boring and ineffective. This game needs a lot of work and I would love to recommend it. I'm not mad because it only cost me $2 but I'll just be simming the games and managing the franchise like that .. the actual football part is simply not fun. Certainly not worth $20 if you're expecting to play football. Edit: Simmed a season and actually had a lot of fun with it -- there's enough depth in the franchise mode this could actually work as a front office simulator. Don't expect to spectate any thrilling games though -- there is no spectacle or really even anything closely resembling actual football. ***FRANCHISE MODE BUGS AND WILL NOT LET YOU START A NEW SEASON, MAKING THIS GAMES ONLY REDEEMING FEATURE COMPLETELY USELESS**
i dont like this game cause you cant save at any time theres no commentary, no good graphics but its good a change from madden. i like this developer to come out with a hockey game.
Good substitute for madden, pretty decent creation center. Physics feel rough but competent, excited to see what comes next.
