For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's a pretty good Metroidvania. Definitely worth it. Positives: + Lots of weapons + Lots of secrets + Good enemy design + Good worldbuilding + "Glitching" enemies is pretty fun Negatives: - No fast travel, so a lot of backtracking - Strange default control scheme on keyboard - Doing a few particular jumps to reach some secrets on keyboard requires you to time your keypresses very carefully, as the keyboard will stop registering new keypresses if too many keys are already pressed at once.
It is a real interesting game in terms of the world and lore associated with it. As a Metroidvania game, it is more to the style of Metroid than the vania association. Traversal is not that great as you don't have very many ways of getting to either side of the game-world besides a ridiculous tram thing. The map isn't so huge that you will hate the multiple corridors you can pass through to get to the place you want to go but if you get stuck you might spend some time dealing with repeated enemy encounters. The mixture of enemies are very much Metroid inspired with lots of awkward moving ones that you can only deal with by pumping them full of whatever bullet type you wish to choose. There are way more kinds of bullets than is ever needed in this game which is fun for variety if you want to do multiple runs of the game. I only did 1 playthrough of this game so it didn't so it stuck out to me and made me feel a little disappointed that there wasn't some kind of combination of bullet types like Metroid. The bosses are all really good but there is a lack of significantly challenging fights. You find a good place to stand and just blast away and everything eventually falls to the ground. Its a fun game and well worth playing.
The only metroidvania better than Axiom Verge is Super Metroid. Somehow one lone developer has nailed the perfect level design, creature design, boss encounters and player movement but then took it further with a vast array of weapons, dozens of secrets, unique "address corruptor" mechanics, stunning original music and deeply compelling sci-fi lore in the vein of PC classics like Another World. Axiom Verge isn't a game, it's an experience. Buy it. Buy it NOW. (PS: The sequel is different but equally fabulous)
Came into this game not really expecting much, but it came out as one of my favorite games I've ever played. Dont think I've ever played anything else where after beating the game I wanted to do the Speedrun achievs. I dont really have too much expierience with Metroid type games, I usually play stuff more similar to Castlevania in the Metroidvania genre, but this game made me more interested in games similar to Metroid. Although one thing in this game that I could see being a bit polarizing is the aiming mechanics, as those are similar to Cuphead which might take a bit getting used to. I wouldnt recommend going for 100% of stuff in this game, for me this game thrives on trying to go as minimal in resources as possible, and a lot of the secrets are kinda eh, where I cant even see how you could discover them without some external help. The game has a built-in randomizer with different modifiers, which I feel like is a great way of extending gameplay if someone wants something fresh after beating the game a couple of times. I like the power ups in this game, they're pretty unique with some allowing you to change how enemies act, meanwhile another one allows you to literally walk through walls, which I dont think I've ever seen something similar to that in other games. I also like how a lot of the bosses can be countered with weapons that could be unlocked right before them, so the game really rewards the player for either trying to explore or just having knowledge about the game. Would 100% recommend playing it if you like Metroidvania games.
I liked it for the most part, it starts well, but when most of the map is open it becomes kind of confusing what to do and where to go next... in other words: I spent a lot of time lost and stuck not knowing what to do. I resorted to watching a walkthrough up to the point where I could find what I missed because going back and forth through the map aimlessly gets tiring after a few days (I got a lot of weapons and power-ups because of this, though). The music is very good, graphics are nice (although I prefer 16-bit over 8-bit pixel graphics, this is kind of in the middle), the controls are generally OK but it depends on what you're trying to do or what you're using (the grapple is not very good, for example), the atmosphere is excellent, the story I could do without (seriously, it'd probably better if the game just didn't explain anything except for some clues here and there) and the dialogue is cringey / high school homework level (which is probably OK for the type of game this tries to be, but still). Combat is kind of ♥♥♥♥, I think. Enemies are either just there or super difficult. Same for the bosses: the first 4 or 5 bosses where super easy, and then you got some mega difficulty spike with some kind of impossible hornet that took watching another video and many many MANY tries. Then you have another 2 or 3 bosses that I don't think fit the tools at your disposal, don't telegraph their movements very well, and... I don't know. They're not very well designed, I think. Also the gauntlets before those last few bosses can be quite difficult, as opposed to the rest of the game. Anyways, I'm not very fond of "the old times" nor of nostalgia-ware but it was OK, I think. Even if I'd never finish a game like this in the old days (or in the present day without some external help). I just wish I could like it more.
🎮 Axiom Verge – Minha Experiência no Mundo Pixelado! 😄
