Very interesting metroid-vania style exploration game with retro 16-bit graphics. Very modern and fun! Lots of interesting areas, tools and story. Can be a head-scratcher the more you go on to find your way through or to find hidden items.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

In terms of gameplay exploration and overall flow, it's probably one of the best metroidbanias out there. In terms of having to look at and listen to it for extended periods of time, it may very well be my personal nightmare. But maybe that's just me being over sensitive to contrast and not an issue for every player ever. It's chill, gets a little crappy near the end but which Metroidvania doesn't get crap at the end
40 minutes in. I counted, and I have found 16 directions that I cannot go with no clear path forward. There has been no plot, so I don't know where I am, what's going on, where I'm trying to go, or anything. One boss beaten, two weapons, and one drill. I haven't even found the main mechanic of the game yet! Just lost drilling walls hoping one will break and reveal a path. I shouldn't need a guide within 40 minutes. Edit: I found a 17th way!!!! EditEdit: It's a dead end too.
Created by one man (Thomas Happ), this game is a true hymn to the golden age of metroidvanias. This is not just a Metroid clone - it is its spiritual successor, distorted and turned into something unique. Axiom Verge is a game for those who are not afraid to get lost in order to find something new. If you love Metroid, Hollow Knight or even Dark Souls for their atmosphere and world - Axiom Verge gives you all this in a compact but rich form.

вообще не зашло ,сам гемплэй отвратный
Story is interesting, graphics are gorgeous, characters are likable, gameplay is fun as hell, you can really tell the dev had a lot of fun making this. Overall one of the best metroidvanias ever made.
A great spinoff of Metroid: in music, theme, texture and gameplay....But with a modern twist. Well Done!
