Awakening: The Dreamless Castle

This is a great and relaxing game. I adore the nice graphics and all the places in the game too. As a player, I was introduced to some interesting characters. Overall the game is refreshing and spirit lifting. And I loved it so much. Pros: - Gameplay - Great and magical story - Journal with containing clues to the puzzles - Enchanting atmosphere

Delightful calm and cozy atmosphere. As you wander through the castle, you repair, clean and support, making things better just as the princess you are expected to be.

When I was a child, I used to sneakily play this game on my iPod when I was supposed to be sleeping. This game still brings me the feelings of joy and giddiness that come with breaking the rules. This game for me is 100% worth it purely for nostalgia reasons, and a great introduction to hidden object games for others.

Though you can see the ageing of this game, I think it's really cute for what it is! It's a little short, but that's to be expected for a first installment.

It's... ok. I'd give it a maybe if that were an option. Pros: The art is beautiful The actual HO scenes are great, the items are hidden well It's the beginning of a great series Cons: The puzzles are very repetitive and super simple Outside of the puzzles and HO scenes, the hint button is useless - it doesn't give a hint, it merely points out interactable zones on your current map... which already sparkle so there's no point to the hint. When you finish a puzzle, it always plays the same sound cue, which dissonantly clashes with the music. No fast travel or map, and moving between zones has a relatively (to other HOGs) long animation. This makes getting around the map annoying. So I'd say play this one only if you're a hardcore HOG fan and want to experience the beginning of Sophia's story

The game is overall fun to play, though I personally had some nostalgia over the game that adds so much more to the experience. The story to me feels like it's mostly focus on setting up the elements for the next of its series, art and music is beautiful, though the minigames had a similar pattern to one another which can get tiring.

A lovely little hidden object and puzzle game. Might be fun to play with your kids, or alternatively alone, if your inner child needs healing :-) It is shorter and simpler than the rest of the series, with abundance of "Simon says" sort of puzzles (which is not a bad thing, I'm just very bad at them :D )
