About
Welcome to the Living Lands, a mysterious island filled with adventure and danger.
Set in the fictional world of Eora that was first introduced to players in the Pillars of Eternity franchise, Avowed is a first-person fantasy action RPG from the award-winning team at Obsidian Entertainment.
The Living Lands is an island where the air hums with ancient magic, the flora seems to move with a mind of its own, and the ground beneath your feet shifts with secrets waiting to be unearthed.
Now, the Living Lands faces a dire threat—a mysterious plague that defies nature and reason, spreading chaos across its sprawling wilderness.
As an envoy of Aedyr, you are sent to investigate, but what begins as a mission of duty soon becomes deeply personal—you feel as though the land recognizes you and is pulling you toward something greater. The choices you make will ripple across the Living Lands, shaping the fates of its people, its creatures, and even yourself. But beware, for every decision carries weight, and the forces you encounter will not hesitate to test your resolve.
Can you navigate the tangled web of intrigue, power, and danger to uncover the truth? Can you save this unknown frontier and your soul from the forces threatening to tear them asunder?
Even more to do in the game! This update brings New Game Plus, a Photo Mode, a brand new weapon type with two-handed staves, the ability to change character appearance whenever you’d like, new character creation presets, additional Godlike presets, custom game difficulty settings, and the addition of three new playable races: Dwarf, Aumaua, and Orlan.
The Living Lands is a place that feels foreign yet somewhat intrinsic to you as it feels the island itself is calling out to you for help. Explore an island home to many different environments and landscapes, each with their own unique ecosystem.
Mix and match swords, spells, guns, and shields to fight your way. Dig into your grimoire for spells to trap, freeze or burn enemies, bash them with your shield, or use range bows to attack from a distance.
Companions from a spread of species will fight alongside you, with their own unique set of abilities. From a former mercenary to an eccentric wizard, they will be part of your journey with your choices shaping them as you help them with their quests.

this game is not a masterpiece. the gameplay is solide even if a little too repetitive, they could have reduced the number of encounter. the number of different kind of enemy is ok tier, and their behavior are different, but not enough to be that remarcable. The map are quite well done, if finding secret in interesting place is your thing, you will like it. but if finding interesting treasure is needed to enjoy it... don't have too much hope.... most of those treasure are juste ressources But they are gorgeous. Realy, the DA is one of the strong point of the game. Still not masterpiece tier, but it will clearly be what i will remember the most with some of the ideas explored in the story the story is ambitious and quite interesting (even original at time) but lake in terme of execution (the dialogue are meh at time, and rarely memorable, even if the event are) , also it feel sometime rushed (some caracter speak of event that didn't happen yet or that even seem to have been cute from the game) the motivation of most caracters and organisation are well balanced... but the motivation of the main caracter to do some choice can be lacking in depth (we are never to the point of "should i nuke a city for fun?" but still ... Strange. or your imagination will do the heavy lifting.) in conclusion, i did have a good time with the game, it could have been a little more condensed (less fight? less filler tier secret?) but i enjoyed myself for most of it. If you want an open world with a solid story, but are okay with a game that lack some degree of polish, it could be for you as well.
Really good.
muy buen juego, si te gusta la onda RPG sencilla, buenas decisiones
I liked it a lot. Was fun to play and I cant say much was wrong with it :)
Absolutely love this game, I love the combat in it, the magic looks great, the different combination of weapons ( for example you can have a sword / dagger / axe in one hand and a magic book in the other or a pistol or wand, which creates a unique way to play how you like. The graphics are gorgeous, and the world is very beautiful and interesting to explore. Story wise i haven't completed it yet but so far i am loving it, Enemy variety is really nice, where as some other games you feel like you are fighting the same carbon copy enemy over and over there seems to be enough enemy variety to make the world seem more interesting and lived in. All i can say is so far i am having a blast with basically every aspect of the game that i have played thus far and would absolutely reccomend the game.
Amazing game, does get grindy towards the end but that doesn't take away from the fun too much
Man merkt in jeder Faser des Spiels die Liebe der Entwickler zu ihrer Story und ihren Charakteren!
Finally something that I can play instead of Skyrim, without having to mod it for a week
