Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.17/day in the week to Jul 21 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Started in 1994, the cult-classic Avernum series is one of the great video game sagas! In this epic fantasy role-playing adventure, you explore and conquer an enormous underworld. Battle through huge dungeons, fight unique and cunning foes, collect, create, and bless hundreds of different artifacts, and enjoy a really good story.
Avernum is a nation underground. Kept alive by the courage and magic of its inhabitants, it stretches through many hundreds of miles of caverns, mines, and labyrinths. It is a wild frontier, attracting adventurers, explorers, brigands, and monsters, all racing to claim the wealth and knowledge in its caves.
You have come to the wild edges of the known underworld with your own goals. (Wealth? Freedom? Conquest?) Once there, you found disaster. Many powerful forces hunger for the riches of the underworld. Swarms of beasts attack. Cities fall into ruin. Your bad luck: You're the one who might save Avernum from its crisis. Can you do it? And what will you take as your reward?
Avernum 4: Greed and Glory features:
Epic, turn-based fantasy adventure in a gigantic world, full of interesting characters, clever dungeons, and quests both grim and funny.
Open-ended story, with multiple factions who plead for (or buy) your support. Practice politics with monsters and choose whether to bring a happy peace or a profitable disaster.
Complex, open-ended game system full of tactical options and ways to build your party. Well over 100 abilities, traits, spells, and other ways to gain power.
A unique fantasy world packed with lore, humor, and history. Not your standard elves and orcs.
Avernum 4: Greed and Glory is the beginning of Avernum's Great Trials Trilogy, and experience with previous Avernum games is completely unnecessary. This is a remaster of the original cult-classic, Avernum 4, which came out in 2005, and features a greatly expanded story and tons of new dungeons, characters, and quests.

Very good old school RPG game. Spiderweb is remaking all the Avernum series games and this one is fun to play in an immersive fantasy world. Lot's of quests and lore and combat for a 100+ hours gameplay.
If you have enjoyed the other remakes you will enjoy this one. Nostalgic indie CRPG play wrapped up in the tippity tap of your party.
A piece of my childhood, beautifully reborn.Avernum 4 is the game of my childhood. I first found it on an old multi-game CD when I was a kid who barely spoke English. As I grew up and learned the language, I fell completely in love with its world, its writing, and its incredible tactical depth.Seeing Spiderweb Software rebuild this classic into Greed and Glory is a dream come true. The turn-based combat is as engaging as ever, the world is massive and atmospheric, and all the QoL improvements make it feel great on modern systems. Thank you to Jeff Vogel and the team for creating games that stick with us for a lifetime. 10/10.

This is the first Spiderweb game I feel has a (mostly) modern UI and Quality of life. The graphics and sounds also seem somewhat better, and whilst none of these will win any awards all three put together remove the barriers for entry. This means it is the perfect launch-pad for anyone interested in some of the best old school dungeon crawlers out there. Fun setting, fun story, and most importantly the mix of exploration , totally customisable builds / tactics and hand crafted encounters gives a brilliant game loop and deserves a huge thumbs up.
First time coming back to a turn-based RPG and this game provided such a welcoming experience. This is my review after covering maybe half of the map. - The grid combat style is not too difficult to handle even with challenging foes. Of course I have had to try again multiple times and figure out a working strategy for each boss, but it was expected. - The amount of exploration and looting has been great. I went back and forth between locations multiple times and still found things I missed, or to unlock new locations. - The world of Avernum 4 is vast with lots of stories to read through. I hope you like reading. - The ambience is great with attention to details, walking on different materials make different sounds, looting sounds. I have been dying to try and find a game with lots of looting and the sfx makes the game even more enjoyable.
Can't go wrong with a spiderweb!
엄청 잼있네요 ㅋ
OG of the genre
Très bon remake de ce CRPG, totalement dans l'esprit de la première trilogie d'Avernum
Wonderful old school turn based RPG.
