This was a pleasant surprise. Game was awesome! It took me back to the old school Contra days where I would spend hours trying to beat a level. If you want an old school experience, this is it!

This game is hard as hell. But in a good way. It allows you to learn and improve. As opposed to banging your head against a wall until you get lucky or tank your way through it. I feel like the creator played this game. Graphics: Very outdated, obviously. Better if you turn off the blur filter or are nostalgic. But there's interesting artwork as well. Online co-op works great. Had no issues Some minor gripes: You need a keyboard to enable the controller from in game, the first time. I really wish there was a button to lock aim direction. There is a toggle button to lock your character in place. This kills me every time. The lowest level for music is obscenely loud if I still want to hear discord. A master volume slider would be nice. Great game.

Fantastic homage to Contra and Super C. Frustrating at times, but that's kind of the point, and the feeling of accomplishment when you break through the challenges is on point with the games it takes inspiration from.
