Don't let the furry shenanigans sway you, this is genuinely a really fun and fast-paced take on the MMO formula that works REALLY well. The developers have also put in a lot of effort to let you play it however you want, so there's a lot of potential here if you can survive the boob slider.
Not a furry at all but the movement of this game is absolutely amazing. There's only one HUGE BLATANT ISSUE with the game: There isn't enough of it. As of right now there's only 3 dungeons worth of content, but playing this with my best friend was one of our highlights last year. Every build/class seems meta/fun with its own unique resource (Dodges, Counters, Mana, etc.). Weapons are also very different from one another so it keeps things fun, and the grind has been fun. The few skills that are available are interesting (although half of them you kinda end up outgrowing past certain levels) but frankly there just isnt enough for variety in terms of builds for classes. There's some high tier level classes that are super interesting but they're super underdeveloped at the moment. All of this to say: This game is SO GOOD. So good I crave MORE of it, but unfortunately the dev team is very small (I think it's one person only). I can only post this review in hopes that Dear Dev Boss reads this and is inspired to keep working on one of the best ARPGs I've ever had the pleasure to stumble upon. Hope you make hella cash to finish this masterpiece.
Got this game with a couple friends, everything about it has been great... but I think we're starting to become furries...
i COULD lie and say the best part of this game is the shmovement, but let's be honest it's the tall furry lady who's nice to me
This game's completely dead with no more than 20 people playing at a time online, and the developer has abandoned the game despite it being empty and in early access.
For how much people praise the game, there really isn't a lot yet despite it being two years since its creation. For as much hope as I'd like to have, there comes a limit with this having a solo dev, and that's that you really can't expect much, much less in a timely manner. Which would be fine, but if you're a casual player and you want to attach to this game, it might not last long depending on your preferences. The dev also has some lackluster communication habits and it really seems to be his solo passion project more than anything, so I wouldn't get your hopes up that it could even be completed. He could just decide to abandon it. I could very much see this becoming a dead game or an eternal early access game. It's great that the developer isn't obligated to do anything, I do care about the guy's sanity, but it is disappointing knowing such a great project isn't gonna reach as much potential as it could. I'm happy for him, but me personally I can just only retain interest in it for so long where it's at and where it's going. It was a lot of fun at first, but there's really not much room for playing around with weapon options/playstyles and that might not change considering it's just one dev- the priority lies elsewhere, it already took 2 years to get 2 dungeons out. There's sort of a straight line of progression where you can only have these certain weapons and use certain skills. It's really awesome that it allows you to have armor vanity but the character creation is also a bit limited in terms of color like being unable to get dark colors on hair or skin The worst part to me, though, and what was an actual issue that caused me to stop playing is that after you reach the second dungeon in Crescent Grove, it becomes unbearably grindy and time-consuming. I play rdr2 for god's sake, but it really lost the appeal to me because what I was doing with that time was extremely monotonous. When I'm in dungeons and individual rooms take upwards of 15-20 minutes to complete and all I get is a single potion each time, then I complete dungeons and get something that's not even for my class, it's really demotivating and makes me honestly want to do something else with my time. Especially since it wasn't like that before and I had set expectations It stops being a casual game when every hit you take from every enemy takes you to quarter of your health, and even using the most optimized skills only makes the difference between 40 minutes of fighting a group of enemies vs 20. I swear I thought I was criminally underleveled or underequipped, like, I must've been somewhere I shouldn't have been- but nope. As far as I could tell, this is just how it is at this point and I lost interest. Not to say I don't want a challenge, the golem fight was fun. But grinding down enemies in a dungeon for multiple hours is not and I'd rather do something else. For how much the game is praised for its combat, it got really stale for me when it just became 'hit-and-run for 3 hours to have a chance of getting something useful' simulator Maybe that's just how RPGs are, but it's not my thing. It was good for the 29 hours I played it, maybe I could get a bit more if I restarted the game but then again with how limited weapon choice and playstyle is, I don't really see much point.
the tags on this initially put me off (sexual content isn't even an actual concern by the way, it's just some of the character creation options, honestly) but it is an incredibly well-done game for being made by a solo dev. it's really fun to play with a friend or two, i found the gameplay loop satisfying even when i was concerned it would become boring. you can also fish :) do mind that this is still in early access, and due to it being one guy updates take a bit but it is still actively being worked on, even if it's not stated here on steam.
FAT FURRY BUTT AND SWORDS AND OTHER THINGS AND STUFF AND THINGS IM A DEGENERATE
All I can say is that this game has big potential. Yes, it has suggestive content and all, but if ignoring or not minding all of that, the overall gameplay and mechanics is what I love the most. I also like the world building and character designs, the style is giving off those 1990's and early 2000's console MMOs and dungeon crawlers vibes. Same going for the game's soundtrack, with each area, dungeon and boss having their own suitable background music. I also find the idea of choosing between playing Singleplayer and Multiplayer a very good idea, in case you wanna play alone or maybe play with friends who own the game on their account as well. Just gotta keep in mind that the game isn't going to be easy. And to think that all of this is made by a solo developer sure was surprising to me when I first found out. Guess I have a big passion for indie games especially, considering the games I play and love. I'm definitely looking up for all the future updates and upcoming challenges for the game. Overall a great and fun indie game to make new characters with different races, classes and sub-classes, grind levels and stuff, fight enemies and bosses repeatedly, fight others in pvp or just hang out and have overall fun with other players and friends.
Very little to do and explore outside of dungeons. Gets very repetitive very quickly. There are few quests that aren't just 'kill x amount of enemies,' you'll do every available quest and the only thing left that gives a meaningful amount of XP will be running a dungeon on repeat. Balance is all over the place. Had some instances where enemies were extremely spongy. You don't really see/feel it early on, but it seems to get progressively worse as the game goes on. I didn't waste stat points either. I got to level 12 and had only spent 3 points on vitality at character creation, rest went into Dex and yes I was using a Dex based weapon. It feels like one of those games where your raw level is infinitely more important than your gear. Had all purple dungeon gear with phenomenal stats and equipped it as soon as I could (they all had level requirements.) The game would feel so much better if they added more interesting quests to do as an alternative to just running the dungeon on repeat.
