Good variation of Orks Must Die!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2890470023
STORY
Missed.
GAMEPLAY
The gameplay is to protect the main building with the help of a hero and traps. There is a hero who gains experience, levels up, gets new equipment. He hits enemies like an ARPG. You can redistribute pumping at the bartender. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2890470114 There is a construction phase. Here we set up protection. As you progress, more and more traps become available. Traps can also be upgraded. There are pets and mounts that help in combat. There are multiplayer options. You can play with a friend or oppose him. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2890469950 Consider the pros and cons of the game, sum up.
PROS:
+ Simple but nice graphics. + Good music and sound accompaniment. + Many types of equipment, pets, mounts. + Many types of traps. + Many kinds of enemies.
CONS:
- Not detected.
CONCLUSIONS
A very good game, very similar to OMD, but with its own interesting features. I played this game for 59 minutes and my character got defaulted back to level 1 and losing all my items 3 times. I understand that this is an alpha but losing all my progress 3x has made this a bad experience
This game is good and could be compared with the 'Orcs must die' serie. I liked the weapon upgrades and the little pets who are fighting with you. But the game still have some bugs. Like, at the end only 2 enemies needed to come out of the portal. But they were stuck, so I needed to close the game. I tried to play the online co-op mode and the connection was good. Here is my gameplay video: https://youtu.be/MHtjdzTig8k
EA TD action/rpg + loot + potential = Set traps, upgrade them and slash enemies. Level up, collect loot and use pets. Similar to Orcs Must Die. Looking forward to the updates.
Follow our curator for similar games
Had a lot of fun playing the game. Really impressed with how quick bug fixes have been put out. There are still some, but they're being patched out really quick. The game has a really nice art style and the lighting looks amazing. I love the dopamine rush you get when you find a weapon upgrade. And I love the weapon varieties. 10/10 would play again.
I was honestly surprised by this game, I've been sent some other games made by solo creators(friends of friends), and a lot was left to be desired in the other games, Progression was meaningless and monotonous. The guardian stone blew me away with fun combat and a unique game genre. Personally i would like to see more of a story-line to go with this game, as far as graphics go they are clean and the game feels smooth. Adding co-op is simple and if you have a fun group of friends this game is great for just having fun! Beyond impressed with the turnout of the game so far! It cant hurt to give it a whirl!
My playthrough of The Guardian Stone has been so much more enjoyable than I had originally thought it was going to be. When my friend told me about this game I was hesitant to pick up another Tower Defense as ones in the past usually had a pretty short lifespan for something that our friend group plays. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Guardian Stone was quite different from other Tower Defenses that I'd played before and had quite a lot of gameplay to explore and enjoy for both singleplayer and multiplayer adventures. Game Overview: - Tower Defense that provides a balance between managing gold economy to build/upgrade defenses and third person player combat with 5 different weapon types - Multiple weapon types each with 3 specialized abilities/attacks - 5 Rarities of items allowing for hours of game grinding to find higher rarities and better stats - Passive Tree (providing a few essential character upgrades) many of which improve the gameplay with each point invested - PvP arena with scaling combat to settle those arguments between arrogant newbies and seasoned veteran players - Wide variety of weapon and armor appearances/skins (with the dev mentioning a transmog system in the future!) - Large variety of pets to assist and tag along on tower defending adventures - 9 unique towers to choose from to use as defenses - Weapon, Amor, and Trinket upgrade system that increases base damage/armor/defense boost stats of each item Singleplayer Experience: - Challenging but fair early-game ad encounters - Enjoyable (and fulfilling/satisfying) gearing process - Reasonable learning curve for tower management on multiple lanes - Different per-level difficulties to raise/lower the challenge depending on character progress Multiplayer Experience: - Enemy difficulty scales with each additional player - Starting gold is shared between all players providing an additional early-level difficulty if players are undergeared - Tower health/damage/fire rate is based on the stats of the player that places the tower, allowing for an added challenge of bringing newer players through levels Early-Development Game Developer Support: This is by far one of the best parts of playing this game. - Whenever an issue arises the developer is immediately on the problem solving process. Anything game-breaking will be resolved in a ridiculously fast turnaround time - The developer is open and willing to consider many suggestions to help improve gameplay! After suggesting changes/additions in the past I've seen some suggestions added same-day which you just don't find on many other games. This is a phenomenal interaction between players and devs and the ability to ask/suggest changes or additions shows just how dedicated the dev is to providing the best possible player experience TLDR for those Considering the game: The Guardian Stone is a phenomenal game that I often find myself playing solo. It provides about 15-20 Hours of gameplay to reach end-game and an additional 5-15 hours of gameplay to grind out the top-tier armor and weapons. Multiplayer is fun and allows for up to 3 additional friends to tag along without too terrible of a difficulty increase. Definitely recommend this game for the price - well worth it.
Too well made for an early access game where there seems to only be one Dev working on it
This game dank! Always improving, can't wait to see what the future holds
Great tower defence game. Quite a few bugs and needs some quality of life improvements but the devs are actively listening and quick to fix issues. If you've played Orcs Must Die but want to play with your friends, give this a shot.
