Had a lot of fun with the game. RPG elements didn't feel like it effected the story. But action gameplay, traversal and variety of bosses were very good.

the combat is amazing story ehh not the best but the gameplay more than makes up for it the sand gliding is just amazing the exploration feels fun not that rewarding but found it fun 1 time play atleast
Super fun combat, awesome premise, battle monsters under the gaze of a vengeful god using Sand-bending and a magical gauntlet. Metroidvania + God of War + Devil May Cry mixed in a pot. The world itself has kind of a Darksouls vibe, "after the fall" so to speak where no one has any hope anymore, and the world feels kind of empty and depressing. The extremely flashy combat, glowing sand monsters, narrative/UI handholding and godlike abilities kind of clash with that. Right from the get-go you're a sand-bending, superpowered warrior thanks to the Gauntlet (the game does give you proper foes to tear into), and you only get more powerful by the moment. It feels like there should be more to do, more to see, and a more vibrant world to experience it in, but so far it's a whole lot of sand and despair. The protagonist is a blank slate which would be perfect, except that this world is boring and it *needs* a strong protagonist who can carry. What we get is budget Celebrimbor and Talion with nothing interesting to say (so far). After 10 hours of play I want to love this game, but I feel like it fell short of it's potential. Recommended on steep sale.
