Not a good VR game. No hand animations, no reload and you can just hold down the trigger with infinite bullets. The camera is very janky, pulling you about unnaturally and even up in the air at times. The NCPs are brain dead, they approach and just stand there, attacking one at a time. Bare bones options, it has 3 settings, low, medium and high. Not sure how this plays in flat screen, i think you need to buy the other version to play non VR, where as it should be in one game. Bad game for VR, likely not much better in non VR.
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/c7_82220ds0 This is an on-rails 360 stand-still wave shooter. It has 3 areas and 3 different weapons (a handgun, assault rifle, and bazooka). Whole game took me about 15 minutes to beat on the hard difficulty. You have infinite firing (infinite ammo with no reloading) which means you can just keep the trigger pressed for the entire game. There ends up being very little strategy to this game. It's like a mindless shooting gallery. The only really good thing about this game is the visuals. It looks really nice. Game is running on the Unreal Engine. I didn't notice any serious performance issues or bugs. However, the gameplay is just plain bad. The enemy AI is scripted to be brain-dead. They run right in front of you or it just has these ringed targeted areas that pop up that you have to shoot quickly. That's all there is to the game. At the listed price of $24.99 USD, it's a crazy ask. I'm not even sure this game is worth .99 cents in the condition it's in. Moreover, I'm not sure how original these good-looking assets are. I'm pretty sure I've seen the jungle map in other games. Also, I know this developer re-used "Jenny" from his LiveOnIdol game. Not only the same 3D model, but the same map for the intro. I just can't recommend this game to anyone. It looks good, but the gameplay is bad and there's very little content on top of that. Rate 3.5/10. Might have given a neutral recommendation if it were free to play.
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program. Wow On rail shooter gone bad. First there is no voice lines and the text speed is to fast. Then you get thrown into a car where 100 velociraptors come at you from different directions. You have unlimited ammo and no reload so just fire away and get tinnitus because the sound effects are 5x louder than the music. After that you the camera gets pulled all over the place and if you are sensitive to vr prepare to have a barfing bag nearby. Time for the first boss a T-rex. Just like house of dead games you shoot on specific circles. However the game gives you no time to spare. Just miss for 1 second sorry too late. This keeps repeating over and over again until you clear the game which is only 20 minutes. The graphics are nice and thats the only positive thing.
Atlantis Adventure is beyond Terrible. A really lame VR game. Now where do I begin, first off this game only goes for 20 minutes, and for a 20-minute VR game the asking price is a bit much. So who would want to pay that much money. Also there are no hand animations and reloading animations as well, and the game is so generous that you have infinite bullets, you heard me correctly Infinite Bullets. I feel the developers could've made the game a bit more challenging in having to reload but the fact that you're giving unlimited ammo makes the game so much easier all you have to do is hold down the button and fire away. The only good thing about the game are the graphics despite a few bugs here and there. The enemies are meh, and the boss fights are lame. The dinosaur models look like they were ripped out of a Jurassic World game, don't believe me take a real good look at the raptors at level one, I swear those raptors look exactly like Blue, Charlie, Delta and Echo and the T-Rex looks like the JW T-Rex, don't people make decent dinosaur models for video games anymore. Also there's not much AI to the enemies they just run towards you and you mow them down like a bloodthirsty killer, the developers should make the enemies more strategic, for example have raptors attack the front while the raptors ambush the player from behind. Also there were times when I glitched out of the level while fighting enemies no joke I was for some strange, unknown reason thrown outside the pre-determined path of the game and I had to restart. Let's face it Atlantis Adventure is the most underwhelming VR game ever, I played it on PC the experience was terrible and the VR didn't do much for me either. 1/10
My recommendation is ONLY for VR arcade centers This Game has good potentials for VR arcades however, they need to fix the sound, it is just too scattered and you don't know what you are hearing. Te sound of the truck is absent the sound of the lady speaking is absent Background sound is noisy.. too noisy the sound of the gun is very low This game is just good for commercial VR arcades 360 standstill and 3 DOF not 6DOF BUT the SOUND QUALITY IS BAD!!!! I will refund for now until these and some other issues other reviewers will mention is fixed
