very fun. I love old school limited calendar style atelier used to do and not open world type/ infinite days
Extremely underrated series, and this game in particular proved to me that it deserves more attention. The series has amazing gameplay in that items are heavily focused on and used frequently, and provides a great challenge with games that have timers, but this game in particular has a very heartfelt story, great characters, amazing worldbuilding and atmosphere, and a lot of stuff to do. Its a very cute game, but also just a really good one.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Atelier Ayesha is probably at the moment my favorite Atelier game. It might get beaten in my journey accross the series, but it won after a tight match against the first Mana Khemia. There is so much to love about this game. The journey feels really relaxed, despite the personal stakes. This id due to the time limit giving you what feels like heaps and bounds of time. Which leviates completion stress, and makes the journey all in all a lot more enjoyable. I actually frlt like I could have gotten any ending I wanted in my first playthrough with the time limit, which is something I didn't feel at all in the Arland games. Secondly, the difficulty of the game is just right. I didn't get to beat any of the superbosses from the DX additions in my first playthorugh, but the bosses that were in the base game were, (nearly all) fun to go up against. I should probably also mention that this game is from the standards I have come accross in all games, definitly the most unique item and enemy wise. The only thing I can remember was in previous games was the dunklheit flower, aside from that the game is fully unique compared to the preious games in the Atelier series. There are no Puni's, no Uni, no Pamela or Flam Fiel, pretty much everything in the game is unique. Every series goes through this phase at some point, and Atelier Ayesha doesn't particulairly do it badly. I don't think their exclusion makes the game better or worse, it makes it moreso feel like a game inspired by Atelier games made by a fan, rather then an official release. None of the characters are particulairly annoying either. Kyle is pretty much the worst character in the game, and even he is better theneach haracter from Ulrica's campain in Mana Khemia 2, and like half of the characters from the first 3 Arland games. Aside from him, Wimbell is fun, Keith has fun tired dad enery, and the chemestry between the cast is just top-notch. My only few flaws I have with the game are minor. Characters say a variation of the sentence "I like this, is what I'd say if I'd like this, but I don't" a little to often. It also took me a while to get used to the lack of no 2d character talking sprites. This is the first game that doesn't have them. I'd say the removal goes smoother then the transition from 2D sprites to 3D models we had between Mana Khemia 2 and Atelier Rorona, but I wish we could at least have had a sprite in stuff like the shop menus. The only boss that didn't really feel apropriately challanging was also the final boss of the game. A bit of a let down, but I also don't want to be stuck in battle for over half an hour like i was in the Iris trilogy so, oh well. Aside from those 2, Atelier Ayesha was a welcome surprise, and the new top spot of my Atelier ranking. 9/10
🎮 Reseña de Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk DX

Many people say that Atelier Ayesha DX is one of the hardest Atelier games for newcomers because of its strict in-game time limit, and that proved to be true. When I finished the game for the first time, I immediately got the bad ending because I didn't fully understand how to manage my time efficiently. As I continued playing, however, I gradually learned the game's mechanics, especially time management, which is one of the most important aspects of the experience. I really enjoyed the story and the characters, especially Ayesha herself, who became a very likable protagonist. The most difficult part for me was the alchemy synthesis system. Combining different materials and properties to achieve the desired stats and effects can be quite complex, making it one of the biggest challenges when aiming for 100% achievements. Despite the steep learning curve, this game ended up introducing me to a JRPG series that I genuinely want to replay over and over again. Atelier Ayesha DX left a strong impression on me, and I hope the other Atelier games are just as good—or even better.
