Pretty good RPGM game. I think the mapping is fairly good, and I enjoyed the music. Customization of your party comes in what spell scrolls you earn/buy, limited attribute boosting items, dragon/wyrm essence, and of course, equipment. Barriers (think temporary HP scaled from INT) stay in between battles, which is very convenient and allows you to set up powerful barriers (INT boosting equips with INT buffing) when you want. Battles are fast, maybe a little too fast at times, and most turn actions should have value, especially once you have easier access to fruits and carrots (they're very cheap and affordable) for stacking up a lot of buffs. Story and characters are decent enough to keep you going, there are better games of course, but the characters here are fine. Could have used more party banter or camp scenes or the like, but I'm a sucker for character dialogue and interactions, so I am biased in saying this. Optional content can allow you to gain a lot of bonus stats, and strong equipment, on top of free scrolls and heaps of gold. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, if you're fine with RPGM games and looking for a solid game, this should suffice. Will look forward to future projects from the dev.
Great game, lots of party options, good story. The only downsides are lack of a quest log - it's hard to remember what you're supposed to do next if you step away from the game for a bit. Plus there is a really "tacked on" stealth level that is more frustrating than fun. Other than those two, I would definitely recommend picking it up.
The writing is actually good. The story flows really well so far, and the combat is intuitive and interesting. I like places you get to go too so far, and remember its always helpful to talk to the NPC's you meet. No NPC conversations have been boring either.
Love the game, but now I'm getting gliches, in battle I won but the same battle starts over again, still recommend this game.
I don't usually write many reviews however this one is a great game. I thought it was going to be some short not interesting game for this price and it is not. Great job! Hope to see more games!
Fun game, great story. Well worth the money.
Great old-school style JRPG.
Great game. Interesting characters with a good plot. Magic system is excellent. Long game with many plot twists to keep you interested. Well worth replaying.
Dobry jRPG na około 30h. Generalnie niezbyt trudny.
Astoria is a very hard rpgmaker game. Normally, I will not write preview for such a game that I didn't complete it. However, I feel very angry at this time. Cons: -I don't know why, but I can't unlock any Steam achievements. My system is Windows 10. -All maps are using default rpgmaker tiles. No interesting design. -The design of main story is terrible. I have purchased a lot of herbs and potions. Suddenly I lost all of them without any warning. Now I need to control two girls, but they are too weak to win a battle. -Player must kill many monsters to earn money. If you didn't buy enough herbs, most of bosses will destroy your team easily. -I really hate to read a long dialogue before I have a chance to save the game.
