Asterix & Obelix XXXL : The Ram From Hibernia

The remote play together feature does not work. Please fix it.

Tout comme Astérix et Obélix XXL3 (The Crystal Menhir) cette suite ne s'adresse pas aux fans initiaux de XXL2, et c'est tant mieux ! Un très bon travail sur les voix (on retrouve Jean-Claude DONDA pour Astérix, évidemment) et une histoire sympa bien qu'un peu courte. On fait une jolie balade dans l'esprit de la BD. On regrette que parfois, certains passage sont parfois un peu obscurs, dans la version XXL3 on avait Idéfix qui nous aidait à voir où il fallait aller, ici pas du tout (Idéfix ne sert d'ailleurs à rien dans le jeu c'est très dommage) Pour tous ceux qui râlent que la licence est en train de s'éloigner des versions XXL d'origine, faites vous une raison. Non ce jeu n'est pas un XXL2 et il est vraiment dans l'esprit de XXL3. Astérix et Obéliix XXL 2 était horrible: la jouabilité était nulle, les plateformes impossibles, vous avez kiffé parce que vous avez ragé dessus des heures mais c'est tout. Oubliez ce mode de jeu d'un autre temps et appréciez les jeux modernes où tout est beaucoup plus agréable à parcourir, c'est ce que cette version vous propose. C'est un jeu pour les enfants et les adultes qui veulent s'amuser entre deux biberons sans avoir à rager des heures sur des plateformes stupide. En bref, si vous n'avez pas aimé XXL3, ne l'achetez pas. Dans le cas contraire, vous avez compris ce que doit vraiment être un jeu Astérix et Obélix en 2023 et venez passer un bon moment ici.

Jeu plein de bug qui se termine en moins de 5 heures, aucune surprise, aucune interaction entre Astérix et Obélix. Je déconseille celui là, mais jouez au précédent !

El juego es lo que es, un juego divertido para machacar romanos, y si lo puedes disfrutar en compañia, mejor. El tema del fallo con el mando es tan sencillo de solucionarlo como pulsar Shift + Tab y habilitar el direct input en steam, seleccionar el mando y ya esta, Y YA ESTÁ. Si buscas algo tipo dark souls en este juego, el problema lo tienes únicamente tu, es un juego sencillo para pasar el ratito entretenido. Muy recomendable si te gustan las aventuras de Asterix y Obelix.

Asterix & Obelix XXXL : Der Widder aus Hibernia is suprisely because of the bad steam raitings i thought this would be even worse than XXL3 but its acutally better and soild experience, alteast they didnt used XXL4 for this title which is good: Pros: + graphics overall are better but i prefer the XXL3 visual style + game runs smooth no problems at all + 6 levels to explore to fight romans and find collectiables + 6 roman compounds (an big imporevement over XXL3 they are way more fun and its goals) + story is ok (main game 3-4 hours / all achievements 8-9 hours) + better level design its more straight forward/linear and less confusing + game had the perfect lenght it ended before it gets respective which is nice + asterix & obelix humor is fully alright in this game Cons: - cutscenes animations are pretty basic only static poses with voice acting (only the ending have an small cutscene, the whole game should use that) - if you want to play coop mode with two different controllers they need to be the same like both xbox or ps if you mix it for some odd reason it dont work - from time to time there can be romans stuck but you can still defeat them - coop mode feels cheap if you really can play with 4 player couch coop but 2 asterix and 2 obelix feels silly they should use more ome other characters - your bot mate still feels usless, its actually good playable alone too unlike XXL3 Done all the stuff the game have to offer and it was fine but nothing special, actually this time i lean more into the positive side.

I got the game cause I grew up on Asterix and Obelix. First this I would say is as follow: Don't listen to the negative reviews. Either the game updated or people got incorrect settings. - Controllers work perfectly. Just ensure to enable Steam Input and have your controller order correct set. - Story and translation look good. Just gotta progress more. - Different then the start of the series, but def a great couch coop!

je pense que c'est mon jeu Astérix que j'aime le moins, même si la haine qu'il reçoit en fait pour moi un jeu sous côté, je n'irai pas forcément le recommandé plus qu'un autre pour autant

Do not buy this for full price. it is an unfinished product that is even worse than the one before.

It's a massive improvement from XXL 3, I had a lot of fun. With that said it's on the shorter side and still it's not a proper successor to series' best XXL2. But if you're looking for a single/coop isometric Asterix brawler where you can beat Romans with anything you can grab (even other Romans), then getting this on sale isn't the worst choice. I played this fully on steamdeck where it has a fullscreen bug connected to dpi scaling. I had to force a much higher resolution 2560x1600 in steam's game properties so that it's 16:10 in fullscreen. Besides that I had no issues.
