STAR WARS™: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles™

My respect to developers for doing absolutely nothing on this re...collection of money for old game. It takes skill and experience to bring the playstation game to a state worse than it originally was. In essense: no old bugs were fixed, new bugs introduced, "new graphics" are just better resolution textures on poligons, combos are even harder to perform than on PS1.

I remember playing this banger of a game in early 2000's on my Sega Dreamcast. Nevertheless, this port is unresponsive, poorly made and DEFINITELY not worth this type of money. If you find playing old games enjoyable, I would strongly recommend emulating this one on Sega Dreamcast, as this version was supreme to the said console's technical properties. What a shame Aspyr hit us with a lazy cash grab. 20-25$ for a poorly implemented port after 20 years? Licorice levels of bad aftertaste. DO NOT BUY

Геймплей остался в 2000 году со всеми его особенностями: корявыми прыжками и местами дубовой боёвкой. Однако же, несмотря на это играется вполне бодро. Во-первых, нам насыпали больше 10 играбельных персонажей. Во-вторых, игра следует канону фильма и рассчитана была на тех, кто его посмотрел и идёт воображать себя великим Оби Ваном (или Дарт Молом). В третьих атмосфера сохранена, от музыки до звука бластера, всё то самое, аутентичное. И в четвёртых, есть локальный кооператив! Но не забываем, что это платформер "старой школы" для большинства он будет сложноват, но можно приловчиться. Можно с кентяриком забабахать прохождение на вечер (если он есть) [b] Игру одобряю, к покупке всецело рекомендую! [/b]

Simple, Old school saber fun. Too bad they didn't make it so we could do co-op online. That would have made this perfect. IMO

Improved graphics with the jank still intact. In fact, they even added more jank to make the game more challenging.

Slop of the worst order, remastering an already terrible game with bad gameplay, but not introducing any genuine QOL features, improving the gameplay, keeping the visual style intact but upscaled by AI because it's Aspyr and we love it, the menus are reminiscent of a Spyware fan remaster that somehow made it onto steam without anyone noticing, yet alone being taken down immediatly from the company that made it before, people should unironically stop trusting Aspyr at this point, play this using PCSX2 or buy a PS2 yourself and play it, this remaster done by AIspyr serves nothing else than to prove what they're good at doing, unnecessary AI usage and doing nothing else besides providing the bare minimum of what a "remaster" is, and overpricing it, good job! Enjoy the success of your bare minimum efforts and cancel all production on the DX Remaster

Ele é um jogo de ação e plataforma (Beat 'em up), que reconta os eventos de A Ameaça Fantasma, mas com um foco muito maior no combate frenético com sabres de luz do que na narrativa fiel do filme. As conquistas são fáceis de pegar, não tive problemas de platinar o game Recomendadíssimo!

Лицензионная игра по Скрытой угрозе из 2000 года, когда разработчики еще верили, что если дать игроку световой меч, он простит любую xyйню. И ведь были правы. На экране все как надо: дроиды разваливаются, световые мечи вжухают, музыка делает вид, что ты участвуешь в великой космической саге, а не прыгаешь по платформам, собранным человеком, который явно мстил человечеству за личные обиды. Аутентичность отличная. Звуки, персонажи, локации — все пахнет первым эпизодом. Вот этой золотистой пластмассой Набу, тупыми дроидами, джедайским официозом и ощущением, что где-то за углом уже идет совещание торговой федерации, на котором все снова ниxyя не поняли. Геймдизайн местами — привет из эпохи, где 3D еще не освоило вертикаль, камеру и человеческое достоинство. Уровни бывают нудные, платформинг иногда хочется отправить в сенат на вечное обсуждение, а врагов кидают пачками с таким видом, будто это не бой, а уборка склада с дроидами. Но игра все равно живая, зараза. В ней есть старый лицензионный шарм: кривая, злая, простоватая, но честная аркада. Не современный музейный ремейк с подсказками, маркерами и геймдизайнером, который каждые три секунды гладит тебя по голове. Тут тебе дали меч, коридор и сказали: “Иди, джедай, страдай красиво”. Aspyr ремастер сделали адекватно. Не превратили старую игру в пластиковый HD-труп, а просто отмыли грязь, подтянули картинку и оставили ей этот прекрасный запах старого диска, дешевого мерча и детской веры в то, что джедай с мечом автоматически делает игру лучше. Вердикт: хороший артефакт старой Star Wars-эпохи. Местами нудная, угловатая и тупая, как боевой дроид после инсульта, но с правильным звуком, вайбом и душой. Не шедевр, но приятная лицензия из времени, когда игры по фильмам могли быть кривыми, зато не стерильными.

Unforgiving platforming, stunlocking common enemies -- Just how I remember it! I was that teen with too much time on their hands, "mastering" every aspect of this game back on the Playstation 0. So if you like a challenge, have plenty of time and/or patience, or are someone easily crippled by nostalgia bait... then this game may be for you XD
