Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 12.57/day in the week to Sep 18 → 40.8/day in the week after.
About
“Shadows is some of the most fun I’ve had with a stealth game in a decade” —PC Gamer
Play as Naoe, a quick-witted shinobi, and use light, sound, and shadows to evade detection. Infiltrate enemy strongholds with many parkour options including the new grappling hook, distract guards with shuriken or smoke bombs, and assassinate your targets with your Hidden Blade. As the samurai Yasuke, use silent bow takedowns or unleash devastating melee combos with your katana or naginata.
Switch between these two heroes to adapt your strategy and experience feudal Japan through two radically different approaches – stealth and strength, shadows and steel.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 5: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Latest in each market: best KR #37, worst CA #97 · 13 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 17 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,502 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

good game
As a game, it's good. Not amazing, not one of the best RPGs ever made, but genuinely good. The gameplay is fun, the world is beautiful, and exploring Japan is probably the biggest reason to play it. The map is honestly incredible. Feudal Japan is beautifully represented, and exploring the different regions, villages, forests, castles, and mountains never gets boring. It's probably one of the best maps Ubisoft has ever created, and easily one of the most enjoyable open worlds in Japan we've had in gaming. They also tried to bring back some of the classic Assassin's Creed feeling with Naoe, and I appreciate the effort. Her stealth, parkour, and tools feel much closer to what I want from an Assassin's Creed game. But unfortunately, it still has the same problem as the other RPG-era Assassin's Creed games: It doesn't really feel like Assassin's Creed. A lot of what made the older games special is still missing. The focus on stealth, assassinations, parkour, social stealth, and actually being an Assassin isn't strong enough. Naoe helps, but the overall game is still fundamentally an RPG first and an Assassin's Creed game second. The story is probably my biggest disappointment. It's not terrible, but honestly, it's pretty meh. There are some good moments and interesting characters, but nothing that reached the level of the best stories in the franchise. And that's basically how I feel about Shadows overall: it's a good RPG, but not a great Assassin's Creed. If you're buying this because you want the classic Assassin's Creed experience, I'd honestly say stay away. But if you're looking for a fun open-world RPG set in Japan, with a beautiful map, enjoyable combat, exploration, and tons of content, then this is absolutely worth playing.
