I bought Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag because I wanted to be an assassin. Instead... I became a pirate with severe anger issues toward every ship that existed. I'd tell myself, *"I'll continue the story after this mission."* Thirty minutes later, I'm chasing another brig because it had one piece of metal I definitely didn't need. My ship somehow became more important than the main plot. Every time I heard **"Fire!"**, my brain released enough dopamine to power the Caribbean. And then there are sea shanties. I have no idea how Ubisoft managed it, but I spent hours sailing with absolutely no destination just to hear my crew sing. No combat. No missions. Just the ocean, the wind, and a bunch of pirates somehow sounding happier than I ever will during Monday mornings. If you've never stopped your ship just to admire the sunset over the ocean... You're missing half the game. Edward Kenway is probably one of my favorite protagonists ever. He starts off as a man chasing gold, glory, and the next big score. He's stubborn, reckless, and convinced the world owes him something. Honestly... He makes terrible decisions. A lot of them. But that's exactly why his journey feels so real. You don't watch a perfect hero become stronger. You watch an imperfect man slowly realize what truly matters. That's a much harder story to tell. The world itself feels alive. One minute you're silently sneaking through enemy forts like a master assassin. The next you're accidentally alerting everyone because you jumped off a roof into a chicken coop. Then, somehow, you're in the middle of a naval battle with five enemy ships wondering how your peaceful afternoon turned into absolute chaos. And somehow... It's perfect. Years have passed since this game released, yet sailing across its ocean still feels magical. No minimap could ever tell me where the next adventure was. The sea did. **10/10.** *"Leave her, Johnny, leave her..." hits a little differently after you've lived this journey.*

Мені із самого початку не подобалась тематика піратів, але вирішив спробувати зіграти та дати грі шанс показати себе та просуватись по сюжету далі, і це було класно. Так не сказав би що ідеал, я оцінив би в загальному гру на 6.5/10 але тільки тому що мені не подобалось проходити завдання в морі і війни на воді. І навіть враховуючи це гра варта того, тому що це ніби подих чогось нового в улюбленому світі Асасинів.

Перший асасін котрого я торкнувся і в котрий досі приємно повертатися. Мабуть єдиний аспект до котрого у всій серії не виникає питань - це художня складова. Островні міста з типовою колніальною архитектурою, бірузова карибська вода чи величезні хвилі під час шторму - все це тримає атмосферу епохи та сеттінгуі та й просто радує око. Також у цій частині чудова музика від Браяна Тайлера котрою можна заслухуватися і за межами гри. До ігроладу питань більше, бо враження що все що відбувається на суші - занадто легке та пласке не залишає майже до кінця. Але це компенсується морськими битвами, де з непрокачаним кораблем приходиться думати та маневрувати. Хоча загальний настрій від того не сильно змінюється - ви все ще розслаблено виконуєте сюжетні завдання що сконцентровані навкруги відомих піратів цієї епохи, збираєте усіляке лахміття та виконуєте купу побочних активностей. Якщо полюбляєте піратську тематику - це майже стовідсодкова рекомендація, бо ця тема не так вже й часто підіймається у іграх. Для усіх інших - хіба що якщо вам хочеться простенького екшену на Карібах XVIII століття. Питання - "чи має це тепер сенс коли існує ремейк?" лишаю вам.)

Fue mi primer juego de esta serie. Mucho sigilo obligatorio. Las partes del barco no me gustaron y se me hicieron lentas. La historia y los personajes estan para el olvido. Lo unico bueno es el combate estilo batman, pero si voy a eso, mejor juego un batman.

Absolutely recommend this game. It's beautiful, it still holds the original Assassin's Creed energy, and it's still very similar to the original. A few changes yeah, but I love them so far. I love this game and I love how far it's come, and that the games have a chance at going back to the original theme that started all this.
