About
Farming Simulator 25 invites you to join the rewarding farm life. Whether you build your legacy single-handedly or cooperatively in multiplayer - it’s your farm, you decide!
Build a farm along winding rivers and historic grain elevators in North America, surrounded by ponds in Central Europe, or in a lush East Asian landscape filled with rice paddies near a neon-lit port city. Grow crops, tend to animals, practice forestry, and manage an empire of business ventures with farm shops, productions, and constructions!
Twisters and hail add new challenges, prompting farmers to prepare and assess the impact on their crops. Tire tracks also leave an impact thanks to ground deformation and plenty of new weather effects, making the view on your farm more romantic and immersive. Start the day with sun rays breaking through the treetops, illuminating the morning mist with golden light!
Grow two types of rice on water-retaining rice fields, or spinach, peas, and green beans as Farming Simulator 25 extends the choice of crops to 25 in total. Various tree species plus greenhouse vegetables offer even more variety. Adding Asian farming, you roam the fields operating new types of equipment, while mighty buffalo and goats join cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, horses, and other livestock in pens and pastures. Baby animals, too!
Farm more precise with GPS-assisted steering and improved automation. Operate over 400 authentic vehicles & tools from more than 150 international top brands. Including Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, John Deere, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Valtra, and many more. Choose your favorite brand or discover exciting new technology!
Feel a deeper connection to fields and nature thanks to a general tech upgrade: Improved graphics and physics based on the latest GIANTS Engine 10 refine the experience. Improved accessibility and quality-of-life features make Farming Simulator 25 the most beginner-friendly way to start your life as a newfound or returning farmer. I don't understand how the Farming Simulator series fails to get any better with each new release. I’ve played every single entry since FS15, and it feels like the franchise completely stopped innovating after FS19. According to a 2023 article in The Guardian, Giants Software admitted that virtually all of their development costs are covered by licensing contracts from manufacturers wanting their equipment in the game. Knowing that, I find it inexcusable that they don't reinvest those resources into making a better product. So many aspects of this game are severely lacking. Instead of improving the core mechanics, which have been lagging for the 10 years I've been playing, they just keep releasing the same unoptimized slop packaged with a few unnecessary gimmick features. The farming simulator genre desperately needs some real competition. We almost had it with Cattle & Crops, which was a promising game before it was abandoned. Until another developer steps up to challenge them, Giants has no incentive to actually fix their game.
I bought this game thinking I'd grow a few potatoes. Instead, I accidentally became the CEO of an agricultural empire with a sleep schedule that would concern medical professionals. My tractor has more horsepower than my car. My wheat prices dictate my emotional stability. I have paused conversations with actual human beings because "the canola is ready." At first I laughed at the idea of GPS steering. Now I refuse to drive in real life unless someone paints guidance lines on the road. Every time I hear a diesel engine outside my house I instinctively check if my harvester is full. I've developed strong opinions about fertilizer application rates despite living in a suburban neighborhood. Friends ask me to play shooters. "No," I whisper, staring at my soybean field. "The harvest cannot wait." This isn't a game. It's a legally acceptable form of agricultural hypnosis. I came for farming. I stayed because my $600,000 combine harvester and I have formed an emotional bond that transcends human understanding. 10/10. Please send help. After I finish baling these hay bales.
FS25 is an upgrade from FS22 ... there is new crops, new animals, new machineries. There is more mods for FS22 but we're getting there. Great game to chill in or play with friends. Do love that they added GPS into the base game. You don't need any of the dlc's .. but if there was one to recommend .. it would be Highland Expansion which add a new map and ... fishing :D Do install all the free dlcs that there is .. specially Precision Farming ... once you learn and understand how to use it, and notice the increase in yield and bonus income you probably never wanna play again without it. Highly recommended for those that like simulator games, and the idea of running your own farm.
Look, I’ll be honest… I have a problem. Over 511 hours in Farming Simulator 25, 100+ mods installed (yes, my load order is a beautiful disaster), and four different saves all sitting at 100+ hours each. One save is my “serious” mega-farm empire. Another is the chaotic “what if I just buy every single vehicle” experiment. The third is pure roleplay nonsense, and the fourth… I don’t even remember what I was doing there, but I’m 187 hours deep and still going. And I regret nothing. This game is straight-up addictive in the best way. The base game is already fantastic—gorgeous maps, satisfying fieldwork, deep production chains, and vehicles that actually feel good to drive—but the modding scene takes it to god-tier. Whether I’m running massive custom maps, insane new equipment, or quality-of-life mods that make life way too convenient, it never gets old. I come home from real construction work (hauling actual tools around all day) and immediately hop in to haul virtual stuff around instead. The new mechanics, improved AI, better seasons, and overall polish this time around make it the best Farming Simulator yet. Multiplayer is smooth, graphics look incredible, and there’s always something new to optimize or build. If you like simulation games even a little bit, just buy it. You’ll lose hundreds of hours and love every single one. 10/10 – My therapist says I need to touch grass… but the grass in FS25 is prettier anyway.
This game is hardly better than FS22. The graphics are not a huge improvement over FS22. The force feedback still sucks. The physics still suck. I know this is not entirely a knock against FS25, but pretty much anything in FS25 can be easily modded for FS22. All in all, if you don't have FS22 get FS25. If you have FS22, I wouldn't bother buying FS25.
great game for starting out a farm sim, great for logging
As a software engineer I work with my head and continuous context switching at the job can overload you. After such a day, it is so much fun to just come to this game, cultivate some fields, spread some lime and fertilizer, plant seeds and wait for it to grow. It's so peaceful and relaxing. As as simulation, sure you have some quirks, but the graphics, atmosphere and handling equipment in this game are really good. And there's so much of it! However, be warned! The game does absolutely nothing to help you in your quest to become a farmer. Cultivate this field, harvest that field, sell those crops, bye bye it's your far, now! I've had to look up so much information online on what equipment I need, what does it work with (a car, a tractor, a truck, a harvester..), what type of fertilizer can I use with this equipment.. Even today I looked up if I can cut branches from a tree and figured out I can actually crouch to do this! The game does absolutely nothing to help with tips or anything, so be prepared to look up websites and places like Reddit for snippets of information. But absolutely get this game if you're like me who likes to just relax after a work day and just put my brain on chill mode while plowing some fields.
Game is still brilliant and anddicting as ever. Would like to see further development of things like; build buildings with materials found/grown in game, barn finds, buying property with mystery equipment included, some kind of story mode The only thing that really lets this game down is the AI workers. The logic is a joke and some machinery combinations simply don't work with AI. They end up reversing in a never ending circle while jack-knined or missing whole and half strips in the crop
How can a game have this many sequels and still not improve on the horrible physics engine and collisions? Enjoyed the last few instalments but when it comes to moving anything around in the game its still a mess, makes any simple tasks completely frustrating and ruins the experience. It encourages a reliance on cheat mods just to make it playable at times. Will say the AI has improved massively though, I can leave it alone doing a task while I'm chasing my bugged header trailer halfway across the map.
This is the only real farming sim on the market. That should be the review in and of itself. But it isn't. A few good things first before I bash this for what it's worth: - A ton of articulation. You really don't know detail until you pay attention to the equipment in this game. - Equipment variation is paramount here. Many different manufacturers and multiple different ways to accomplish the same goal. -Mods are really what carries the game in general. If it weren't for these kind souls, this would be in the dollar bin. Now on to everything bad: -No new engine. It is no different than how Bethesda releases games. They 'overhaul' their engine, in this case the GIANTS engine, and over time, since 2009, it gets more and more bloated and bugs from years ago still continue to exist. It's like painting layer after layer over a turd and then wondering why it not only looks like a painted turd but rolls off the wall as such. I've heard fanboy after fanboy say it isn't possible-- it's probably not possible given that every equipment manufacturer is lining their pockets and it's the only farming sim out there. Money speaks volumes. It isn't possible to do exactly all of this on a new engine or even an existing one? Or is it your pride? - No multicore support. I've heard varying different accounts but the overwhelming seem to be one core, one thread. Impressive in 2009. Not impressive when you have this much going on, on any CPU. I mean, my GPU usage hangs between 50 and 60 percent because there simply isn't any more my poor, poor core can give. For a game that looks this bad, I shouldn't be getting only a hundred FPS with stuttering on a 4090 at 4k with a 13900K. And from what I hear, from an ex employee, they will not be changing this any time soon. One core, one thread, maxed out and nothing else. Literally 6 percent. - The graphics. Look, it still looks like it's from 2009 but with some effects slathered over it. Great. Would be tolerable and nice if it performed well. Granted, I understand how complex it is to process some of this stuff. - The DLC. What is with this fire emergency pack? What does that have to do with the side of farming the playerbase is interested in? Granted it's free, but it's terrible. And ground deformation in a paid DLC? No, let's not focus on the glaring issues at hand, here's another piece of equipment you can't afford until you're making so much money that it doesn't matter what you use. How sad is it that you can't even be bothered to look even in the mods section and see what needs to be fixed? - Reliance on mods. Now there is some debate with this. No problem at all with using different equipment from mods, it's hard to program in a million variations just because a farmer at home actually owns a specific tractor. But for it to actually be semi realistic and tolerable, you NEED to use mods. From the tines sinking into the ground to accurate dirt colors, to how mud forms when it rains, it isn't optional. Any game that I have ever played that relies on mods this much, simply isn't good. Mods should be optional and not needed for a well rounded game. -Everything other than equipment and the fields is simply an afterthought. Standard affair here for any of these 'simulator' games. One old dude at the base farm simply rotates on an axis, staring at you like you punched his wife. No attention to much else other than the equipment. Traffic is terrible. Detail on buildings is terrible. But it is a farming game after all. I reckon you can't have everything. - The price. Like I said with every previous point, it's like a 30 dollar game at best and the DLC should be free. You want big money? How about making a big money game? Or are you more focused on your new racing game when you can't even get a farming game right? I could go on and on and on. But I won't. This is the only game for a farming fix if you aren't a real farmer. I will continue to play it because I paid for it. But I should have my head checked for believing anything had changed when it released. If you aren't into farming at a hardcore level, just go away and play Stardew Valley. It's far superior in every single way.
