♥♥♥♥ man. This game is beautiful. The world, the sailing, and the music are all wonderful. However, this game is just a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mind-numbing content dressed up in an pretty package. Voice acting is great but the dialogue can be awkward and stiff at times due to the poor writing choices. It's such a shame because they really got the bones to make a great game but failed on world building/lore and the writing. Even the main story quests are bogged down by meaningless kill/fetch quests that offer no real insight into any of the characters or the world. This totally messes with the pacing of the game. Side quests and characters do not add any interest to the game. I can only recommend this game if you just want explore and experience Ubisoft's presentation of ancient Greece just for the visuals alone. Otherwise the gameplay and world building leave a lot to be desired.

I can absolutely see that it gets repetitive in many areas, but the thing is, it has always been this way with Ubisoft across their games (and the same goes for some other studios I won't mention). The tight release windows for these games could be why some people are getting sick of it. But I'm not one to judge, because at the end of the day, I just really like these games. The true position that I think should be judged more is how it's handled, and how good the story and setting are, though this is usually highly personal. My Score: 7.5/10

Every region feels unique, making exploration enjoyable from beginning to end. One of the game's greatest strengths is its freedom. You can choose how to approach combat, whether through stealth, melee, ranged attacks, or powerful abilities. The RPG progression system allows you to experiment with different builds, and the variety of weapons and armor keeps character customization interesting throughout the adventure. The story is also engaging, especially with the choices that affect dialogue and multiple endings. Meeting famous historical figures, sailing across the Aegean Sea, and discovering hidden ruins make the world feel alive. There is always something new to explore, whether it's a side quest, a fortress, or a mysterious cave. Visually, the game is stunning. The lighting, weather effects, oceans, forests, and ancient architecture create one of the most beautiful worlds Ubisoft has ever built. Even after dozens of hours, I still found myself stopping just to admire the scenery. If I had to mention a minor downside, it would be that the map is extremely large. Some side activities can become repetitive, and completing everything requires a significant time investment. However, considering the amount of content available, I think it's a reasonable trade-off. Overall, Assassin's Creed Odyssey is an outstanding RPG filled with exploration, adventure, memorable characters, and an incredible world.
