Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.

Beautiful, but shallow and completely unimmersive The graphics look great, and the combat is visually impressive. Unfortunately, fighting enemies that behave like training dummies gets boring very quickly. The enemy AI is incredibly stupid, even on the highest difficulty. You can often defeat an entire group simply by spamming attacks, which completely destroys any sense of immersion or challenge. The loot system is also extremely repetitive. Most of the time, you either find money or items that are immediately converted into money. There is very little variety in weapons and armor compared to Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The shops barely offer any interesting weapons, and clothing does not improve your stats - it is purely cosmetic. As a result, exploring and collecting loot rarely feels rewarding. My biggest disappointment is the lack of a convincing pirate fantasy. At least during the first ten hours, the game barely showed the robberies, drinking, violence, lawlessness, and general brutality that I associate with pirate life. I never truly felt like a pirate, and the immersion in that aspect was practically nonexistent. I never played the original Black Flag, so I cannot compare the remake to it. However, as a new player, Resynced was a major disappointment. Assassin’s Creed Shadows was better in almost every way: graphics, environments, combat, loot variety, progression, and overall atmosphere. Black Flag Resynced may look beautiful, but underneath the visuals, it feels shallow, repetitive, and outdated.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 6: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

There are just way too many bugs to recommend this game. How can the Singaporean studio mess up something that's just as easy as copypaste from the original?
Please note that this review is for fans that have played the original, but are not sure whether to pick up Resynced or for people who have not played either yet. Overall, if you are a fan of the original, I think that you will enjoy this remaster of Black Flag. Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced takes the best parts of the original, which often was the atmosphere and character writing and makes it stand out. Playing the game again makes Edward's journey through the early-1700s Caribbean feel fresh and exciting. The story pacing is improved through the removal of the modern-day Abstergo office sections, and the inclusion of optional Animus memories is appreciated. The open world is expansive, yet not overwhelming. If you are a completion-oriented player, this game is fairly easy to 100%. I haven't 100% it yet, but I plan on doing so. The visuals are stunning, simply one of the best-looking games in the Assassin's Creed franchise. It really does the setting justice, from bright blue waters to gorgeous golden sunsets. The voice acting is everything you remember from the original Black Flag, although the new voice lines can be a bit jarring compared to the older ones, especially for Edward. However, this game is not perfect, and there are some issues with it. For one, the combat is very hit or miss. It takes elements from the new games, like perfect dodges and parries, and mixes it with the fast paced counter system of the original Black Flag. Personally, I feel that the original has more options, especially with the weapons you can use. In Resynced, you are limited to dual swords, pistols, rope darts, and fists/hidden blades (only during certain animations or side activities). This limits your ability to really be creative with how you approach combat scenarios. This is in contrast to the original, which gave you additional weapons you can use, usually being weapons you pick up off of dead enemies. This kept combat fresh and engaging, which Resynced is sorely lacking. However, the naval combat is still incredible. A bit more challenging than the original, but that is a challenge that I appreciated. The other noticeable issue is the writing for the new storylines and cutscenes. Without spoiling the story, Resynced allows you to recruit 'officers' aboard the Jackdaw (Edward's ship) that give you new abilities, as well as few additional questlines for characters that fell off the face of the Earth in the original's story. Compared to the original's fantastic writing, these new stories leave much to be desired. The characters' themselves are fine, but the writing is bland and very cookie-cutter. The characters' motivations are very predictable and their reasons for joining Edward's crew is rushed and feels sloppy. Despite these complaints, I have enjoyed my time in Resynced and am planning on 100% it and getting all the achievements. It reminds me why I loved the original so much while appreciating the visual and gameplay enhancements of modern games. I would highly recommend getting Black Flag Resynced if you are a fan of Assassin's Creed or trying to dip your toes into the franchise for the first time.
This is the only vacation I can afford this year. 10/10
