I was weary at first, when I went to buy it the first time I went down to the reviews it was just a page of thumbs down. I am thrilled to say this game is brilliant, just like the original, I haven't gotten all the way through it cause I take my time but I have been having a blast. Are there some bugs? of course its Ubisoft lol are they game breaking? no. There were a lot of talk about in game ads for the shop or the fact that you get taken to the shop of you press the start button twice. There are in fact, no in game ads, and you get over the whole not pressing the start button twice Really quickly. Like any game that has a different layout you just learn...not..to click it twice? definately not a reason to downvote the whole game. If you loved the first Black Flag, you will love this one. The game is absolutely beautiful, the hardest part in returning to the OG was the sluggish controls but with resynced they are much more responsive.
Leider für mich eine Enttäuschung.Die gute (aber im Vergleich zu "Mirage" oder "Shadows" mittelmässige) Grafik blendet und täuscht über das schlampig umgesetzte Spiel schlicht hinweg.Nur ein paar "Kleinigkeiten": - Dialoge laufen plötzlich ab obwohl man schon in einem komplett anderen Questabschnitt unterwegs ist,der Gesprächspartner ist nicht mal im Bild/anwesend oder versteckt sich irgendwo... - Die Cutszenen sind immer wieder brutal abgehackt und/oder abgeschnitten. - Oder starten plötzlich mittendrin im Spielgeschehen (während einer Verfolgung oder Schlacht...)... was noch schlimmer ist.... - Die Grafik ist des öfteren einfach "💩" / fehlerhaft,als ob man plötzlich keine Lust mehr hatte...oder keine Zeit mehr... - Quests sind oft nicht gleich verfügbar/können nicht gestartet werden,erst wenn man 2 -3 Mal im Kreis um den Queststartpunkt herumfährt oder herumgeht.... - WERDE ANONYM.....Diese "Gamefeature" spinnt herum, - Man kommt halt a ned weiter im Spiel/Questabschnitt,dann muss man "überall" nochmal schauen,ob noch irgendwo ein Gegner irgendwo "versteckt" hat. Aber gut,UBi wird,nachdem sie das Entwicklerteam bereits gekündigt haben,ja sicher bald nachbessern,wie üblich.... Das war das LETZTE Mal,dass ich in UBi Produkt beim Release gekauft habe.😡
BEFORE YOU BUY: Yes, the game is a fairly faithful recreation, and expands upon and is better in a lot of places. HOWEVER, if you do not own a Gen5 NvME SSD and have it slotted in a Gen5 lane with the game installed on it. Be aware that randomly your disk usage will spike to 100%. And you will have npcs, cutscenes, buildings, terrain, not load—and in a lot of cases— will be stuck mid run whilst the game tries to load them. Assassinations won't even work, Edward will be sat there in a spread eagle position for a while. Even menus take 10x longer to load. This 100% disk usage can last anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. And whilst it is happening everything else on your computer will freeze or be really slow. This has been a known issue since Assassin's Creed Shadows was released, and still plagues that game, and now this one to this day.
This review is going to be odd, because while the more I played the game, the more I hated it, but I would still recommend it to other people. The game mechanics are fun and the world can be fun to explore. What killed it for me is the story and characters. The more I played the more I hated the majority of characters. I really hated the main character Edward. I reached the point where one of the characters got stranded and I found myself not caring. With every bad thing that happened that is supposed to make the player care, I found I cared less.
Loved Black Flag as a kid in High School and the game gave me chills playing it again after all these years. Loved the new content, was stunning to see how beautiful the game is, and the new songs hit so good (ESPECIALLY THE END CREDITS SONG)

i can kill, i can parkour and i can explore what else does a man need? indeed a ship to fight other ships with, well guess what this game has that 2. I even got swords with guns attached 2 them :D
