Huge Darkest Hour fan but this one feels much more realistic and balanced. You actually have to think, strategize, and plan your moves wisely. 10/10 General simulator

It’s a solid choice for strategy enthusiasts looking for a deep WWII experience, but it may feel overwhelming or outdated to casual players. Final score: 6/10 A decent, detailed WWII strategy game with some rough edges.

Put simply, it's a poor man's version of Hearts of Iron IV, more complete than the HoI4 base game, but lacking any of the DLC or after release support that makes HoI4 a God tier game. I'd save your money and just buy HoI4 instead, but if you can't afford it or the extended list of DLC that goes with it, then this one is okay, but I don't recommend it.

Stupid game...even on the easy setting the game is almost impossible to win. Too many things to manage and keep track of. Played lots of strategy games but will not waste any more time on this one.

I played this when I was 8 years old. Now im 18 and I play hearts of iron 4. For anyone who remembers this gem I salute you.

One of the best WW2 strategy games, extremely in depth and high detail and has that old school feel that newer versions of this game (HOI) don't offer

Initially it didnt seem much different. But the combat mechanics are very different. read the manual for description of combat changes. For the low price and many hours of enjoyment its definitely worth my money. And I've only got to poland :)

You can be ahead in every conceivable metric and still consistently lose every single battle possible. It makes no sense and quickly becomes pointless and obvious that your decisions strategically DO NOT MATTER in the slightest. Garbage no matter what anyone tries to say about this trash.
