as someone who has played this game for 4 HOURS, i can say with confidence that i do not recommend this game. mainly because of the physics in this game: let me break it down for you mark - gun mechanics are alright, but not perfect (grabs part of the gun where my hand is not at) - reload system is janky as it can be. (when you try to reload your gun or guns, near your crouch its often that the belt will just suck the ammunition back to the belt without you releasing your finger. Also trying to reload in the first place is an f***ing nightmare, it'll work 20% procent of the time during stressing hours and 80 - 90 procent when it has calmed down. - Climbing and getting down for a jump is awful - There is no way to push zombies away with your guns - checkpoint system is annoying. don't make me fight what i already got through and go get items again. but the rest is cool tho long story short: gameplay: 5/10 Guns: 8/10 Reload: 3/10 Climb: 3/10 Graphics: 8/10 checkpoint 2/10 score 4/10
Fantastic game, western gun swinging zombie mayhem. I took the game for a test drive and lost 2.5h on my first session before I noticed that I am way dehydrated and had to take a large glass of water. The feel of the game is frantic when there are hordes of z<ombies coming at you and I died of fumbling reloads all the time :D Fun fun fun <3
pretty bad! nad it not jsut the vr itsself also the game is boring bad syncro and so on the list ist long but not worth meantioning at all,. just leave VR and this game where it belongs in the trash
I own and played the original when it first came out. It was a basic VR experience helped along with some decent gunplay, and serviceable story. I skipped After the Fall, and feel if I hadn't I may have avoided this purchase. Vertigo have made a visually engaging update, but seemingly lost a lot of personality through this process (I loaded up and compared some areas). BUT! The biggest reason I can't recommend this game is the janky physics interactions, the new "wrist based" storage system (you slot items in to magical portals, whereas in the original you grabbed them from your chest/vest), and the awful, awful, awful reload and weapon handling. Want to grab the grenade on your left wrist? Nah, you just swapped your right hand weapon to your left holster switching around you weapons. Want to open that oven to grab some food? Nah, we'll just keep grabbing the stove buttons and turning them (which do nothing gameplay wise). I don't know how they are calculating hand proximity to objects, but grabbing the wrong item is a constant. Go to grab pistol magazine. Nope, grabbed the ping pong ball on the table which is closer to your wrist then thumb and forefinger. I loved horde mode in the original, but last wave 7-8 and beyond, but the physics here are really frustrating. I'm trying to scoop up magazines and drag them to my belt. My virtual hands give snagging and getting stuck. The game doesn't detect the magazine against the belt, so I drop the magazines. AUDIO! I have troubleshooted this with various audio outputs, Quest 3, PSVR2, wireless headphones, TV audio - there just seems to be no spatial audio AT ALL. Distance to zombies, doesn't mean anything. It feels like some mono smoothing of everything that's going on, all at once. I haven't played Vertigo's newest titles, but based on the reviews they havent improved their technical prowess for a VR experience that 2026 gamers expect. Pretty geaphics, sure. Average gameplay. Frustrating VR experience. Only buy on special. Like, a STEEP discount.
This is a blast in co op! First game fully tried on VR, love it
good
I really enjoyed it. I like the loop of scavanging, slower paced exploring and dispatching, and then big explosive movements of figting and dodging hordes. I think the more realistic movement speed of the game is a big asset. I thought the shorter DLCs were really good. " I played through the main campaign, then the DLCs and then Arizona Sunshine 2 basically all in a row which I guess goes to show how satisfying and fun I found the format of this series. I found all aspects to last for exactly as long as I would want it to. A great game!
68/100 My main problem with the game is the weapon-handlement. Even with "immersive reloading" it's still just snapping and with some of the animations that I have seen there is a full cartridge being flung out of an empty chamber. When a melee-weapon is used to the point it breaks (like the crowbar) you are still left holding a very sharp piece of metall that should be just as capable at disposing of zombies, but instead it suddenly acts as if it were made of rubber; why not just have it break apart completly and drop to the floor? The "inventory" is really bad and not suitable for situations when you have to be quick...like in a fight...in this shooting game. Reaching for the shouldered weapon results in taking your headgear off and reaching for the melee-weapon or other item that is for some reason stored in the wrist of your hand (which is likely holding onto a gun as you are fighting zombies) has you grab the gun (often also in the wrong place that is much further away from were your hand actually is).
