The Horizon scientific research laboratory is a deceptively quiet place. When you came round, there were hundreds of the living dead all around you. Use both hands and your head: never stop shooting, climb up pipes and ladders, grab hold of ropes, and throw everything you find at the zombies.

Game is fun, initially. Then I quickly realise this game just spawn enemies indefinitely. It just give a bad taste since fighting enemies basically means absolutely nothing. Might as well hold a deagle on left and card on right to speed through the game
Для 2023 года полная лажа, мыльные текстуры, неудобное кривое оружие (затворной задержки нет, тактической перезарядки нет), деревянные зомби. к покупке не рекомендую даже по скидке. in 2023, it’s a complete crap, blurry textures, awkward crooked weapons (no slide stop, no tactical reloading), shackled zombies. I don’t recommend buying it even at a discount.
There is many things that makes this unfun to play from my time in the game. -Performance and bugs- The game will randomly crash when you start it if the steam overlay is open, having "OVR advanced settings" running breaks the game height so you're under the floor, and "fix floor height" doesn't work at all in this game for some reason. The audio breaks if you tab out and can only be fixed by restarting the game, from my experience The lack graphics settings is disappointing. There is no audio options, that's also an issue, since the game is very loud by default and you cant turn it down easily in VR since you have to turn down system audio -Gameplay- The lack of realism with the guns is kinda sad, the guns don't lock back when the last round is fired and having to rack them every time you insert a new mag, and for some reason it always ejects a round when racked even though the gun is empty? Melee weapons are basically useless, but for some reason they are WAY more common than ammo, even though ammo is plentiful. Huge immersion breaker is that when zombies grab you, it rendering the hand grabbed useless. you cant just yank your hand away either, your hand stays in place as if it's disconnected and frankly, In a VR game that is the worst feeling.
Surprisingly fun VR zombie shooter with a decent campaign
The game is a little rough around the edges, but its a decent zombie shooter with about 3-4 hour campaign for the money. I will say though, this game has quite a banging soundtrack! Apart from the main campaign, there are a number of challenge modes that add modifyers to the main campaign like: complete the campaign in total darkness (you must use a flashlight to see), complete the campaign using only an AR-15 rifle, and zombies can only die if shot in the head, just to name a few. If you are looking for a decent arcadey VR zombie shooter with a campaign, give Death Horizon a shot! I had a blast with this one. I've been a fan of zombie games for years, and Death Horizon truly exceeded my expectations. The variety of weapons and strategies you can employ to survive the zombie apocalypse adds depth to the game. The developers have done an excellent job of creating a tense and thrilling atmosphere, making every encounter with the undead an adrenaline-pumping experience. Death Horizon is a must-play for any zombie enthusiast out there. It's been a wild ride, and I can't wait to see what updates and challenges the future holds for this game! Yep!
I wouldn't buy this game for over $10. It's got a interesting story, good story progression, I like the upgrade mechanics for weapons. But lost interest after about an hour because of graphics/gameplay mechanics. Things I'd like to see fixed: __Aiming seems off to other games, but the bullet counts seem realistic based on the gun type. __Movement with joystick, is available in moving while climbing but not here. For instance I am grabbing a pipe. I can grab and move up down side to side but I can rotate the body of the character. __Bugs with melee weapons, you swing and no sign of impact from enemy sometimes. Maybe a bit later. __Reloading feels a bit funky compared to other games. __Sound mechanics need work. Other then the standard zombie sound, you don't really know where they are or where they are coming from until they hit you from behind. If the sound had sources it would be better. I think if the DEVS can fix these items this game could be a good game. Thank you.
Not a fan of this one, there are much better VR zombie games.
While I recommend this game, I am a bit disappointed that the level design world interactivity is very low, which tbh in this kind of game, that experience is basically the "expected". Gunplay is satisfying, difficulty was OK and coop play is.. while rather simple, it works. The level design also acknowledge co-op gameplay, so it's a quite a plus. Fortunately, this game is not too pricey and occasionally goes into sale, so it's very good as VR collection.
Coop Coolness
The game is really well made for the very fair $15 price tag. Better than I expected. Played in coop, which makes it way more fun. The gun sight attachment was broken, but it was still fun. Hope the dev fixes it and lets me know. I played this first on the Quest 2 and enjoyed it. It's a fun and straight forward zombie shooter with some climbing and platforming sprinkled in. If you're used to shooting in VR then you'll adjust to the game play quickly. However the are no graphics settings, for some reason. I'm guessing it's because there isn't any difference between this and the standalone version. Got it again so I can do cross play co-op with my sister. My ONLY real complaint is the placement of the keycard on your belt. I'm constantly grabbing it instead of my magazines when I need to reload and it gets me killed pretty often lol. Oh well, skill issue I suppose.
