For a low budget game developed by a passionate teenager, I’m actually quite impressed with the game. The gunfights and puzzles aren’t overly complicated. It’s a bit obnoxious at times and has an absurd modern day sense of humor, which I appreciated. Great job, kid!
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
These are talented young developers. I know the Synty low polygon models makes this look like an asset flip, but it's a genuine attempt at a zombie shooting adventure game. The level design is actually pretty good. This is an ambitious project and I commend the devs for their efforts. You can try the demo if you don't believe me. However, you knew there'd be a however didn't you?, the execution is lacking at times. It's lacking in a critical part of the gameplay loop as well. The shooting mechanic / combat is pretty unsatisfying. Enemy zombies will basically just make a quick beeline towards you. Can you shoot them fast enough? I could for the most part, except when I ran out of bullets and then died because once they're on you, there's little you can do because they are so quick. You also have human enemies. They'll basically stay behind cover, but they are bad shots so they're a lot easier than the zombies who just overwhelm you (assuming you get far enough). There's also issues like enemies going through walls. The hitmarkers around the terrain that stop what should be bullets from hitting your target. Just some overall jank to the gameplay. I think the VOs are gibberish, but Finnish sounds like gibberish to me so maybe it's Finnish. Either way, the story is more about jokes here and there and they generally land. Like I said, the level design and world-building are heart-felt attempts. You can see the makings of a good game ... but the execution and technical expertise overall is lacking. VR development is difficult. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting mostly 90 fps. You have full locomotion, along with smooth turning available. Unfortunately, seated play is difficult because you're too low to the ground and smooth turning is too slow. Rate 5.5/10. Hopefully, the next game from the devs improves on their technical abilities and we get a nice surprise in VR with their next game.
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program. Cool game with that doesn't hold back with it's jämpti humour, give it a go!
Fun little indie game. Full of AMAZING finnish humor. Gameplay is nice i just like to see few things updated in future. Interacting with F key seems has huge delay some times and takes many clicks till something happen. But biggest problem of all, no option page. Master volume is wayyyy to loud but then dialogs can barely hear. Those dialogs is probably best part of game and can so easily just miss then cause need lower game volume down so can even play. Also flashlight would be amazing adding into game, since its so freaking dark all the time. But great job for drunk written story :D
If you want to feel the immersive experience of the usual day in Finland, this is the game for you. The game do be cracking jokes every other second and it keeps the gameplay interesting, even though the quality of the story is: join just kokonaisen jekku pullon ja kirjotin loren vessapaperiin omalla ulosteella. 10/10 masterpiece, the modders going to go grazy.
You thought duke nukem had good humour? Try this and think again. Fun, easy going shooter in the best setting (tampere). Of course zombies are always fun, but now, extra fun! Highly recommended!
Game played on flatscreen... Overall I'm very positively surprised by the game quality There is some "jank" as to be expected, but it adds its own charm The atmosphere is, in my opinion, really well thought out There are some odd moments which feel somewhat out of place, the moments have their humor though. The game is a tad short for my liking, but all in all, I don't regret me buying this game, I would do it again.
Finally, a new VR game and it's set in Finland. I played this high, so I think I'm going to have nightmares.
A small title that doesnt try and pretend to anything more than it is........a passion project made mostly by a solo developer (?) A simple shooter at heart with a very light puzzle element and a pretty strange cast of characters. It might not changed the VR landscape, but its a fun jaunt into the minds of a Finnish Dev (?)
Truly a piece of art. As a native Tamperean this is exactly what life is like in Tampere i could not tell apart the real life Pispala and that of the game. Matti is the true definition of an avarage finnish male i have not felt such connection to a charecter in any kind of media or real life, i fear i cannot love myself or anyone other again as Matti has proven to me what true love and devotion looks like. This is not a game this is poetry, true art. I cried, laughed, came a little througout my playthrough of this game, the visuals were as beatiful as a medow during a sunset or a fresh cold beer from your favourite bar. The sound immeresed me into the world i could hear the drunk couple fighting in the tram while i just sat there mowing down what i assume to be people from Hervanta (sub human species) This game truly changed my perspective into my own life it made me feel inadequate, it left me yearning for more, it left me with countless questions about the game and my own existence and the existence of the world around me i did not realise how empty ones world can be without a video game. I shall spread the gospel of this game and make sure everyone in the world shall experience the happiness that i have gotten from this game. TLDR: is gud :D Ps: i love you dev team
