I love this software. There is presently a lighting issue where the dropped lights aren't casting light, and that's a little dissapointing as it appears to provide a really cool effect. However even with that issue, I'm still very happy with what I got for $10.00. The real strength of this software for me is that I can create a very large and complex layout VERY quickly. This is exactly what I needed in that regard. I would love to have a larger library of props to drop into the maps. But even as it is, I'm so grateful to the developer for this fabulous tool he's provided, I'm happy to financially support his efforts and I hope to see more development of this software.
♥♥♥♥♥ abandoned. Fleeced by Steam once again.

Love it! It's really easy to do your own Dungeon map for your next Pen&Paper Round. It might take a while editing and Inporting all the Pictures you want. But if you have everything you need, its very easy and very fast. All i need now is some picture editing programm. Issues: -You cant drag items back. The item will get struck. if you want to remove it just select it and press DEL. -If you Drag room corners you cant put them back. if you want to have them back where you took them, you HAVE to press Strg-z (and even that command kinda doesnt work, i have to click it at the top. but maybe its just my European qwert keyboard. so maybe strg-y works. -It's kinda Impossible to do Ring Rooms -I can't edit tags. like adding or removing them or change their names or something like that. also i couldnt find the tag-search, so i simple click a tag and it filters all items based on the clicked tag(s)
Very useful for quick maps, as well as for game maps!
This is a decent program. Some of the problems with it are that it doesn't follow CAD rules on how to make it work. Not the "Let's do everything backwards - duh!" kind of thing. What I mean is - Instead of just using the middle mouse to zoom in or out - use the Control key + middle mouse to zoom in or out. This difference is extremely important. Without the use of the Control key you never know just what to expect. Especially since the middle mouse button also MOVES the screen around. To move up and down - do NOT use the Control key. Instead, just used the middle mouse key by itself. This just makes it go up and down. a more orderly way to move the screen. To move the screen left and right - use the Shift key along with the left mouse button. Look at Photoshop, Visio, MS Word, Access, Serif's DrawPlus, and many other programs on the correct way to handle using the mouse and keyboard. Other than this - this is a great program to have and use. :-)
Epic! just one thing is there a way to delete a texture that was added with out reinstalling the program (that ws the only solution i could find)? Keep uo the great work!
I see a lot of promise for this title. There are many positive aspects about it. It is a very clean interface, with rich and detailed options available. I would certainly recommend it to others. However, I do have a few suggestions. First, I don't see an option to place doors or windows. The current set up requires that you connect rooms via small hallways. Second, the only lighting elements found were torches, sconces, and braziers. What about natural lighting? Third, not every dungeon/castle/building is going to be 100% intact, so could there be some sort of demolish tool where we could create ruins? Fourth, it could use stairs to connect to multiple levels in the same dungeon. Fifth and finally, I'm hoping to see either an expanded doodad library (such as furniture or random things that can be placed in rooms) or at least more DLC stuff boasting the same things. Having said all this, I still rate the product 4/5 stars due to the high quality.
Completely usuable at release and very promissing! I was worried cave style maps would not be possible but I was able to draw cave like asymetrical rooms without too much problem. The walls snap at half-units(or squares) It still shines the most at making castle walls/floors encounter maps you see in the screenshots. It is super fast to draw rooms and place items, the lighting options are really interesting as well but since I have a pro account on roll20 I use their dynamic lighthing instead. It is still really cool to just drag a torch into a room you have drawn and see the lighthing effect.
i have waited almost a year for the developers to take this map making software out of early access. sadly they have abandon a beautiful idea, as state in a few other comments good for small scale projects. outside of that its no good..
It's cool but lower the price please! To get this game you must pay too much! Please lower the price!
