‘TEMPUS’ is a wordless, guideless adventure game set over several time zones. Slowly, but slowly you see what happens over time and you start to form a story of what happened in your head. With full motion and smooth turning this game is a little nauseating and some of the games puzzles are not as straightforward as I would have liked (given there is no help at all). But you soon learn that what you find in one area is meant to be used in that same area, not taken elsewhere. While it is low-poly it is still beautiful with a dreamy art style all of its own. Apart from a few issues like the (non-VR) mouse-controlled options at the start and a glitch where everything goes dark while in the lift I found myself lost in this game’s beautiful little worlds and there is also more than enough content to justify the asking price. This won’t be for everyone, but I found it to be both challenging and beautiful, despite being an Oculus Rift only game which meant it was a pleasant surprise. TEMPUS TEMPUS is a puzzle game where you need to solve puzzles to fix your time machine so you can travel to another age. The game looks very pretty. I love the color pallet, it's very soothing for the eyes. Overall this game gives me The Witness feels. The puzzles are not so difficult. Achievements: The game is extremely easy to get 100%. Just play it. You'll be able to finish it between 3 - 4 hours. Those were unfortunately my only positives about the game. - I suffer from motion sickness while playing FP games. Normally there's an option to turn off the headbobbing. This usually helps quite a bit. Too bad this game didn't had that option. - One puzzle took me ages to figure out. Not because it was difficult to understand but because it required me to duplicate a tune. I'm tone deaf, these puzzles are the worst for me. - There's one map with lightning. Which made my motion sickness so much worse and it resulted in me having to stop playing because it gave me a massive headache. - The last map was too much for the game too load. It became incredibly choppy. Stream also became unwatchable. The headbobbing combined with the choppiness made me extremely nauseous. I'm gonna give this game a 5/10. I want to give this game the benefit of the doubt. If the developers would add options to get rid of the headbobbing and make sure the game is able to load all the stuff in the last map, it would help a lot.

Follow Main group
 Follow Second group
 Follow Third group
and discover more reviews from me.
Great experience for an indie game. + Great artistic design + Story feels like a mistery + Innovative concept + VR Support - Brightness slider could help - Even if the artistic approach is low-poly, some models could be improved a bit. I recommended it!
Short, 100% in about 2 hours but fun puzzles, very chill to play, and good atmosphere. Love time travel and no big complaints for my whole experience. Although, In game there isn't much to story telling and it did have a few small glitches here and there. all in all was fun and seems like extra fun for vr but vr not required.
8/10 Absolutely gorgeous game. The graphics don't need to be S tier to make a beautiful environment and this game proves it. The colors and level design are wonderful and it has been one of the prettiest games I've ever played. The puzzles weren't too hard, and not monotonous, as each level had its own 'theme' it followed. It seemed to follow a pattern of short level, long level, short, ect. I also like that the story of the game isn't spoon fed to you, and you can make your own observations and enjoy the game at your own pace. I did not encounter any bugs until a certain point in the game:
The level with the tall tower where you have to put the cubes in the walls at the coordinates bugged out for me.
I think I spent at least 20 mins on that puzzle alone. I had originally wanted to play through the game without looking up a guide, but this puzzle had me stuck. I was convinced I had done it correctly (I had) but couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I watched a video guide and saw the video did exactly as I had.
I tried flipping the lever and it didn't work, which prompted me looking it up. Turns out, I just had to jam my face into the lever until it worked.
Other than that single bug, the only issue I really had with this game was that I couldn't toggle the sprint. I played for nearly 2 hours straight and beat the game in one sitting, but by the end of it my wrist was killing me. The walk speed is far too slow for normal gameplay, but I did enjoy walking from time to time to enjoy the scenery. Suggestions: - add an option to have sprint either toggle or hold - add a brightness slider or flashlight toggle (some levels were quite dark) - add a photo mode (removes crosshair) for pretty screenshots -
Let me pet the dog at the end, please
tldr: The game was lovely, I recommend buying it. :)
I was enjoying the puzzles, beautiful atmosphere and music. Relieved to have made through the keyboard puzzle (duplicate the tune), which is not good for people who are tone deaf, only to find that next was the lightning tile floor room. My nerves cannot handle that. If you could see your feet, it may have worked better. Why are you catapulted back to the elevator with each mistake, no matter how far you've made it across the room? Whoever came up with that idea, it sucks. I will not discover whatever fresh hell was awaiting after that. Too bad. I was intrigued by the time travel premise. Is there a story? I certainly won't find out.
Doesn't work on the index. Use button doesn't work. Doesn't work with Vive. Space orientation is wrong. Game breaking at one point where you have to get in a lift and the lift leaves without you.
While an impressive effort from a one man development studio, last I checked, that limitation can be felt. Non-VR review. The game is ambitiously realized for the most part, but in some places, whether due to design choice or fatigue, are quite lackluster. Players are teased to explore rich environments which are blocked by invisible walls, and oddly, players can go to places that were better blocked off. Personally, I was able to soft lock myself this way. While puzzle density feels significantly increased from the previous title, the puzzles themselves are generally easier. Even so, puzzle difficulty still mostly relies on obfuscation. This may be a consequence of designing the game for use with VR, where it doesn't feel like you're playing a game unless you can pick up and put down a bunch of stuff. The weirdest complaint I have about the game is that when not playing in VR, a lot of receptacles are frustrating to interact with at thigh/waist height, but this is never actually an issue. However, the developer has implemented numerous quality of life and design lessons learned from their last title. Graphical settings are now more customizable, including the ability to toggle the dreaded motion blur. Walk/run is now also a toggle which makes exploration less tedious. Puzzle density has increased and if the number of puzzles has not actually increased, it feels better paced. As a walking simulator, it has improved greatly. Although there is more distance traveled now, it's more interesting to do so. The environments are rich, fairly well utilized and feel lived-in without depending on too much clutter. This time, the developer decided not to focus on a story and opted to let natural curiosity to set off the metatextual plot. While not great, the game is amazing for what the developer could accomplish. Having a team likely would've helped cover blind spots and generally improve quality. I get the feeling that each title from the studio is a proof of concept, choosing certain aspects to focus on. I couldn't recommend this experience as a puzzle game but I look forward to what the studio has to offer.
