Shape the Roman Empire in this genre-defining strategic builder game. Build cities while expanding your influence through Roman provinces. Govern using your economic prowess, diplomatic skills, or military might.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
About
As governor, how you build and govern will shape your story, your citizens’ destiny, and your provinces’ future. Will you cooperate with other governors or prove your military prowess by challenging your rivals? The cost of peace is yours to decide.
Build your provinces with unmatched detail, flexibility, and scale. Watch kids chase dogs through the streets or thousands cheer in the arena. Build upon the land that you see, from the beautiful heartland of Latium to the mysterious Celtic wetlands of Albion… where no civilized Roman wants to be.
Design the cities of your dreams at the peak of the Roman Empire as you balance your people's needs with the relentless demands of the emperor. Forge alliances across the empire or showcase your might with strategic land battles and naval combat. You may even defy the emperor himself – but not without consequences.
Every decision you make as governor matters. Will you honor local Celtic culture or enforce Roman traditions? Grow your provinces through diplomacy and commerce or conquer through military strength. Your choices will shape not only the future of your citizens and your provinces, but your own story as well.

I've been a PC gamer for almost 40 years (whilst definitely not, I hasten to add, being a p.c. gamer!) and I think that this is an absolutely superb one. The more I play the game - the more I understand the game, the more I understand the game - the more I enjoy the game. This is the first Anno game that I have actually purchased having previously tried 1800 (Ed. others ?!). I acknowledge that Anno 117 Pax Romana is obviously and understandably (at less than nine months since launch) not as polished and complete as Anno 1800 is after three years of development. However I feel that the dwelling upgrade replacement mechanic is more suited to this time period. And in some ways Pax Romana is already better than its predecessor, in for example, having land combat and of course diagonal roads! There are also a multitude of setup options, so that you can tailor your game experience to be exactly as you desire in regards both difficulty and content. In closing, I will just state that I bought the pre-release Gold Edition and I have subsequently had no regrets whatsoever.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 5: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Latest in each market: best DE #12, worst MX #94 · 7 markets collected
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.67/day in the week to Jul 21 → 6.8/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

poorly detailed gameplay, quest and items, that makes the game feels boring and cheap

I've deferred buying the game for a while just to let it settle a bit. Have now come around, and here we are. The short of it is that, for the core game it self... The campaign is a bit alarmingly short. In typical modern Anno fashion, it is also the guided tutorial to get you through the basics of the Anno production chains and core game loop. I see why people say it is glaringly short and seems to just abruptly ends... Personally, I haven't even actually finished the 1800 campaign, that one actually felt long or complex than it needed to be. But, 117's campaign is not the correct course adjustment. That said, you may be wondering why I still give this a thumbs up. Granted the short campaign story, the main core content is there.... Which, Anno veterans would be very familiar with at this point. The new religion/belief system, and the marshland mechanics are a good addition that still plays well with the core Anno gameplay. Given I'm only 10-ish hours in, I wouldn't say I've dived deep enough to late game production chains... but for what it is, the amount of "game" there is is pretty approximate to what you get from 1800 at launch. Just with a much shorter campaign, which a bit offset with the new mechanics they introduced.
After Anno 1800, Anno 117 had some big expectations to live up to—and in my opinion, it delivers. Anno 117 brings back all the great mechanics that make sense within its historical setting while preserving the modern Anno feel in a fantastic world. I'm already looking forward to the upcoming DLCs and can highly recommend Anno 117.
