Anno 2070™

Don't get me wrong, this game is amazing and my biggest thanks to all the game developers who worked on this. This is purely a Ubisoft corporate management review. Patch the game to allow for an end-of-life plan for when you turn the servers off; such as transitioning all the online only features to simply be singleplayer calculations, and optional choices for when creating a multiplayer lobby. Remove all your stupid Ubisoft special DRM checks. If you're going to buy Anno 2070, buy the Anno 2070 Complete Edition to get the most bang for your buck. If you already have Anno 2070 and not the DLC, buy the Anno 2070 DLC Complete Pack to get the most bang for your buck. Ubisoft needs to fold all the DLC into the main game already and not nickel-and-dime people for DLC in a 14 year old ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. Release all the DLC folded into Anno 2070 as "Definitive Edition" please.

game refuses to play had to pirate a copy to get it to work no wonder ubisoft is going bankrupt

You should under no circumstance buy Ubisoft products. Not only that, but this game requires Ubisoft Connect and you cannot log into it meaning the game won't even launch. Let this company die.

On one hand Anno 2070 has aged very well. The futuristic setting is very cool and the different factions are interesting. Features like eco balance and the underwater stuff feel quite interesting. They put quite some effort in the voice acting of the campaign and there is a lot of content or missions, so that is fun. You can even tweak the HUD easily in the ini to accommodate for modern screen sizes. But on the other hand, there is a career feature in the game where you can rank and level up with the factions. You get career points and receive additional modifiers and content you can use in all missions, quite a cool concept. But you do not get the points anymore, that feature is broken. Ubisoft managed to break a feature in this game and the official statement is, that they will not fix it. Also you have to be online at every time, there is not offline mode. That is why I cannot recommend this game.

Game is fine for a casual and peaceful experience without having to think too hard buuuuut Came back after a couple years to find I'm being forced to log-in to some ubisoft account I want no part of, just to play an old game... Naaaaaah. Massive disappointment! Years of consumer complaints about the company and they still want to gather your data. Go bankrupt already.

I'm tired of games that require me to log into a third party site for no freaking reason other than to try and sale me more crap, I give you money you give me game end of discussion.

I try to play the game, takes me about half an hour to reset password several times where i can log in to online portal with that new password, but cannot activate the game. As beside STEAM, U NEED UBISOFT CONNECT TO PLAY. It broke my nerves, i will not play any game that has this nerve breaking system. AVOID AT ALL CAST IF U ARE SANE AND RESPECT YOURSELF! UBISOFT SURELY DOES NOT RESPECT YOU ANYHOW
