Only heard about this game once it hit 1.0, and it's a great game to turn on for a couple hours and either put on light armor and knife people or put on heavy armor and a minigun and just hold the objective. Also if you're wanting faster budget increases, most people have some weird fear of playing in the commander spot but it's easy to do and you get a lot of command Exp. if people or bots follow your orders.
I would pretty immediately recommend this. It gives you a very spankin' package, especially for the price. Though I'm not one to care much about price for good games. This game could be 40-50 dollars and I'd still think it worth it. Its just a very grand ole sci fi dazzly battlebox. You can just battle to your heart's content. There are many maps, and many have entirely bespoke sequences of objectives designed for them, and they're rather pretty and well composed, with each having a set pool of what types of vehicles it supports. The gameplay is pretty enjoyable, if you don't expect it to have AAA level gunplay and animations. Its got the systems, regardless of the graphical style. It gives the exact experience it advertises. The ship combat is very good in my opinion. Maybe with a bit more inertial consequence than I'm used to, but big space battles are fun. Minor issues I've had would come down to some input problems. Sometimes my inputs would fail to register when frame drops occurred, or during busy moments. It got me killed a couple times, but it doesn't break the experience completely for me. The game did crash for me once during a space battle map. Hopefully that's not a super recurring experience. Either way, great game! Play if you like battlefield, or sci fi, squad, immersive battle games, blah blah blah. Yeah.

Excellent concept ruined by awful network connectivity. 500-1000ms input lag on servers where your ping is less than 100 is a game issue, not a player issue. Over 10 years in development and they couldn't get basic FPS mechanics to work.
Good foundation for a good price. The space battles are the best part so far. While I don't care for the king of the hill style ground modes, I can see how they would be fun with friends. Hopefully with the 1.0 release bringing in a few more players, we will see more updates that bring in more content, but only time will tell.
bootleg Planetside 2
It looks fun, but falls short. I think they should focus on one game-mode and perfect it instead of having three different, disjointed parts that are imbalanced Playerbase is nice (shoutout to Goblin Gobbler), but the meta opens up a lot of space for sweats who dunk on new players
This is what games are supposed to be.
Auch nach 10 Jahren leider immer noch schlecht. Die Idee ist super, aber die Umsetzung ist mies. Vor allem laggt es wie sau. Angeblich hat man einen Ping von 11, aber die Spieler porten sich mehr als das sie laufen.
Poor optimization, UI, and game balance a side this is a great game for just turning your brain off after a long day. This game fills the void OG battlefront left, the single player bots are STUPID but solid enough to pose a threat. Added that you can join PVP servers mixed with bots it creates a great space to just shoot some dudes for a bit and go back to whatever you needed to in your day. The space battles ROCK! Took some getting used to but once you master switching between the free flight and regular modes for your ship the dog fights become such a fun little frantic moment after you launched your long range missiles to get the leg up. I will say the fighters need A LOT more afterburn fuel, I know it's supposed to be the brawler type ship but with the blinding speed, good after burner engine, and similar fire power the interceptor fills and almost removes any use the fighter has outside of carrying slightly bigger payloads or boasting a bit more armor at the cost of ALL your speed. Yeah this game has issues, and was worked on for 10 years I have to give props to the small team for putting out a solid product built strictly to just have FUN!!!! Yeah you'll run into the odd filthy sweat, but considering this is a large scale wargame you're usually able to kill them anyway as the game gives you a lot of tools for counterplay Solid 7.5/10 game
ffs nerf knives and bunnyhop already jesus
