I was here
Not only can I recommend this game, I can attest that it's description on the store page is true. If you like how it sounds, it's quite likely you'll enjoy the game. It doesn't fall short in giving, in full, what a reasonable person would hope to find here. Besides delivering on its premise and providing the grounds for someone to have an excellent experience, a few highlights are: There are different roles you can play, that don't just blend into one another. Guns, vehicles, ships, moment-to-moment infantry movement and playstyles, commanding vs. following, things really are varied. Creativity in how you approach and choose to play can meaningfully exist here, and payoff from what you do is totally possible. Room for shenanigans also exists, which gives a chance to enjoy time just spent playing, vs. always 'locking in' and following a meta method/build. Your options and roles here don't all distill into just a few 'practical' ways to play too, thankfully. It's not the case in AFF where it's effectively shallow with only a few good builds plus a bunch of unviable options for the illusion of depth. Here, you really do get all the toys. And they're all real options for you. Just like game design from years past: it's a game, for YOU. It's for you to play, and for you to have fun with. :)
The game I've been looking for. It's almost perfect. Colors need to be expanded upon and all will be well. Thank you.
bootleg Planetside 2
This is not a modern shooter. This is a love letter to all those halo, halo 2, unreal tournament, early battlefield, and battlefront 2 days and it still holds up. If you want that experience revived to live anew, look into this game.
Angels Fall First is a futuristic space sci-fi FPS with classic 16v16 King of the Hill style gameplay. You can play as infantry, use vehicles, space ships, and mech suits, all customizable. I have played for 4 hours now after watching/following this game for a long time; Purchased after the 1.0 release. I love playing RTS games with skirmish modes that I would meticulously tweak to set up teams and scenarios. Every game would ultimately end up differently; Sometimes I would come from behind for a last second victory, sometimes I would get an early lead, and about half the time the computer would beat me, leaving me wanting a rematch. I bring this up because Angels Fall First is similar with it's bot support, you can tweak the enemy difficulty to match your preferences exactly. I can set up a single player offline match, enjoy a 20-30 minute match, and take a break. I have found that this is excellent for learning how to play before hopping into an online match as well, since there is a bit of a learning curve here. Of course when I have a bit more time or am feeling ready for a bigger challenge, I get into an online match and lately have found that I can pretty much always get a full 32 player match online. This may change later, but lately I have found no problems playing with real players. Other pros:

TONS of loadouts and playstyles to dig through, or you can just use the default loadouts to a more class-based feel
Lots of vehicles, spaceplanes, and mechsuits to get into, also fully customizable
Progression exists which allows you to equip more and more stuff, keeping you coming back for more
Cons:

Sound design is lacking, guns don't sound great
Graphics are clearly dated, which makes it less cool looking than modern games.
I am probably going to keep playing this for a while since it is so easy for me to jump in, play a satisfying match for 30 minutes or so, then take a break. Dad gamer life. I love the style and customization, and overall feel of the game, and I hope for continued updates from the Devs! Great work guys!
Good foundation for a good price. The space battles are the best part so far. While I don't care for the king of the hill style ground modes, I can see how they would be fun with friends. Hopefully with the 1.0 release bringing in a few more players, we will see more updates that bring in more content, but only time will tell.
I want to applaud how immersive this game is, the battles feel rooted in this glorious sci fi universe with so many small details adding up to make an epic experience, like how you always spawn from a spot that makes sense like a drop pod or barracks, or how ships have visible reloading mechanism for when they spawn in almost like your base / ships hangar is some sort gun firing fighters. Want a special vehicle? a dropship physically flies in and delivers you quicker than Amazon Prime. People say the movement is janky, but to me it just feels like you're moving around in some sort of military exosuit, which you are. Speaking of, this game does have a higher TTK, but I don't really mind that because you do have someone of an opportunity to retaliate instead of instantly die when someone gets the drop on you. Might not be everyone's thing, but I like it here. Also, I don't think there's many games that have Space Combat this good. The fighter / bomber / etc gameplay is super fun, then sometimes, the game will offer you Corvettes, Frigates, and even the Main Battleship. being able to walk around them to repair parts of them and access turrets is just so cool. You can launch a dropship from your battleship, board an enemies battleship and destroy it from the inside. The game's not perfect, sure, I'd love improvements on the AI and other aspects, but it has so much spirit and love to make up for it. If you like Sci Fi Combat it's worth checking out.
It looks fun, but falls short. I think they should focus on one game-mode and perfect it instead of having three different, disjointed parts that are imbalanced Playerbase is nice (shoutout to Goblin Gobbler), but the meta opens up a lot of space for sweats who dunk on new players
A hidden gem in the realm of FPS games, the bots are incredibly intelligent, and the weapons feel great to use, with a huge arsenal and customization to play with. Would highly recommend.
