Angel Made is an indie role-playing game created and published by Wolfs Moon Studios that centers on a character-driven fantasy narrative built around themes of faith, morality, and personal growth. The game follows the story of two central characters, Athos and Destiny, whose lives become intertwined with events that slowly escalate into a larger conflict affecting the world around them. Although the gameplay follows a relatively traditional RPG format, the primary focus of the experience lies in its narrative and the emotional development of its characters. Through a mixture of exploration, dialogue, and combat encounters, the game attempts to tell a dramatic story about ideals, loyalty, and the struggle to remain true to one's beliefs when confronted with corruption and power. The story begins with Athos, a young man devoted to serving the church and carrying out duties related to spiritual protection and exorcism. His role in society is defined by a sense of responsibility and a belief that he is helping people overcome supernatural threats. However, as the story unfolds, Athos begins to encounter situations that challenge his understanding of the institutions he serves and the people who lead them. What initially appears to be a straightforward mission of protecting the innocent gradually reveals deeper layers of political manipulation, hidden motives, and moral ambiguity. As Athos witnesses the darker side of the world around him, he is forced to question whether the systems he trusted truly represent the ideals he believed in. Alongside Athos is Destiny, a character whose personality contrasts strongly with his reserved and disciplined nature. Destiny is expressive, compassionate, and emotionally open, often speaking her mind and confronting situations directly rather than hiding behind restraint. Her presence adds warmth and energy to the narrative, and she frequently serves as a counterbalance to Athos’s introspective tendencies. Their dynamic becomes one of the most important aspects of the story, as the two characters react differently to the challenges they face. Destiny’s optimism and emotional honesty often push Athos to confront his own feelings and doubts, creating a relationship that evolves throughout the course of their journey. The narrative places a strong emphasis on character interaction and emotional conflict rather than relying solely on action or adventure. As the story progresses, Athos and Destiny encounter various individuals who represent different perspectives on justice, power, and loyalty. Some characters act as allies who share their ideals, while others represent the corruption and ambition that threaten the stability of the world. These encounters gradually reveal the complexity of the setting, where institutions meant to protect people can sometimes become instruments of control or exploitation. The story frequently explores the tension between personal morality and the expectations imposed by authority. Gameplay follows the structure commonly found in traditional role-playing games. Players guide the protagonists through a variety of environments while triggering story events, exploring locations, and engaging in combat with hostile forces. Battles occur throughout the adventure, requiring players to manage abilities and tactics in order to defeat enemies. While the combat system is relatively straightforward compared to larger RPG titles, it serves as an important component of the overall experience by representing the conflicts that arise during the characters’ journey. Encounters often appear during key story moments, reinforcing the narrative stakes behind each confrontation. Exploration also plays a role in shaping the pacing of the game. As players travel between locations, they encounter towns, wilderness areas, and other settings that help build the world in which the story takes place. Conversations with non-player characters provide additional context about the political tensions and social conditions affecting the region. These interactions help expand the lore of the game and give players a better understanding of the broader situation beyond the central storyline. The game’s world is presented as one where morality is rarely clear-cut. Although Athos begins the story with a firm belief in his mission and the organization he serves, he gradually discovers that good intentions do not always lead to just outcomes. Throughout the narrative, characters must confront difficult choices that blur the line between right and wrong. This thematic focus on moral uncertainty gives the story a more serious tone than a typical heroic fantasy tale. Instead of portraying the world as a simple struggle between good and evil, the narrative examines how individuals navigate complex ethical dilemmas while trying to remain true to themselves. Visually, Angel Made adopts a classic indie RPG aesthetic reminiscent of many story-focused games created with accessible development tools. The environments are designed with simplicity in mind, prioritizing readability and atmosphere over technical complexity. Character portraits and dialogue scenes help convey the emotions and personalities of the cast, allowing the narrative to remain the central focus. Although the graphical presentation is modest compared to larger RPG productions, it supports the storytelling by maintaining a consistent visual style that complements the fantasy setting. The pacing of the game reflects its narrative-driven design. Instead of emphasizing long grinding sessions or open-world exploration, the experience moves forward through story chapters that gradually reveal more about the characters and their circumstances. This approach keeps the adventure relatively focused, allowing players to experience a complete storyline without requiring an extremely long playtime. The game’s structure encourages players to engage with the emotional development of the characters while still providing moments of action through combat encounters. Like many independent RPG projects, Angel Made also carries certain limitations due to its smaller development scope. Some gameplay mechanics remain simple, and players who expect highly complex battle systems or extensive customization options may find the mechanics somewhat basic. However, these limitations are balanced by the game’s commitment to narrative storytelling. The emotional arc of Athos and Destiny remains the centerpiece of the experience, and much of the game’s appeal comes from watching how their relationship evolves as they face increasingly difficult trials. Ultimately, Angel Made stands as a character-focused role-playing game that emphasizes emotional storytelling over mechanical complexity. Its exploration of faith, friendship, and moral conflict creates a narrative that attempts to examine how individuals respond when their beliefs are challenged by harsh realities. While the game may not offer the expansive systems or visual scale of larger RPG titles, it provides a heartfelt and thoughtful journey that highlights the strength of character-driven storytelling in independent game development. For players who enjoy narrative-heavy RPGs and stories centered on personal growth and moral dilemmas, Angel Made offers a memorable experience that reflects the passion and creativity often found within smaller indie projects. I love playing these types of games, my type of game for sure. The developer has made a very good game; there are tons of things to do, many areas to explore, optional bosses to battle, a good crafting system, tons of weapons and armor to find, secret areas to be looking for, and much much more. I'm having a blast, so a big thanks to the developer for a good effort.
tres bon jeux
Another great game from Wolf's Moon. Great little game. I have played all the games so far and haven't been disappointed. I haven't spent much time playing but even so another little Gem worth the buy I say. Hats off to the creator doing a fine job on his games.
I am far from being finished with this fantastic rpg and am hoping that I am not even halfway through yet (played 24 hours so far). Following in the steps of Shane's previous great rpgs, Angel Made hits the mark once again with a great story, smooth and challenging battles, and characters that you can enjoy in your party. The fishing, mining, etc. aspects are still fun to do and need to do for quests and crafting. One of my personal favorite features is no fighting while on land or ship. You are free to explore the world and find where you need to go without the constant fighting travelling to your next destination. And in the dungeons/towers/forests etc. there are many varied enemies so you do not get bored like other rpgs with the same creatures over and over again. Battles are well designed and using the various features of each character strategically you can win the battle with full hp and even extra hps and other goodies for the next battle , thus saving from using healing/mana potions. Magic gets stronger while using it and finding books and equipment you can add various magic to any character. Nice touch. So once again I am fully immersed and thrilled with Angel Made. Thanks again Shane!
I’ve been a big fan of RPGs since Aveyond. I tried many of them, I enjoyed some of them, and some were less interesting to me, but the games of this manufacturer are amazing. They combine everything I loved about Aveyond and beyond - a great story, interesting characters, the possibility of exploring the world and what is especially interesting to me, the possibility of manufacturing objects and weapons. The game is imaginative, creative, dynamic and full of possibilities that all fans of the genre know how to appreciate. I've been playing for 24 hours and I'm not even close to the end yet, so it's definitely worth the money. I also played Wormskull from the same manufacturer, which I also recommend. The only thing I can suggest for some future games (which I’m looking forward to) might be to add some quest log and that’s actually it. The rest is perfect. In my opinion, the games of Wolfs Moon Studio are the best RPG games currently on the market.
THE ONLY THING I DISLIKE ABOUT THIS GAME IS THAT IT DOESNT HAVE A MAPPING SYSTEM. EVERYTHING ELSE IS GREAT
Good rpgmaker game. Story is simple but interesting and cringe free. Characters are nice. Theres many way to build them. Choosing which character will be in the party and how they will be build is quite interesting. Many abilities have cooldown instead of mana so there is more option in combat than just auto-attacking. The game has some open world and hidden stuff to find. Also, a few optional boss who will kill you if you meet them too early. Coming back to them for revenge fells good!. A few negative: The item management could be better; like adding section to split potion, crafting material, book, etc. I did a few dungeons before the final area. I was way too strong, so the last 2 bosses were a walk in the park. And I still had to gring many level for one of the optional boss after that.
I had the pleasure of running across this developer by accident while looking for a dungeon crawler. After finishing dungeon crawler Daniel I decided to go back and play through each of his games one at a time, in order of release date. I am pleased to see the progress the developer has made from each game to the next. While there are some areas I would love to see improved/ implemented. I can heartedly recommend this game for anyone who is a fan of turn based RPGs. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
So now after finishing the game I can write my thoughts about it: It is an OK game without anything special. And it is like playing with an old friend....because well some maps are standard RPGMaker ones, the dev even uses the same city in another game. What's more...you must love grinding!!! And...well the dev doesn't believe in good inventories...your main one if packed with every item..potions and alchemy...very confusing. Have I said that you must love grinding? Because halveway through the game you must play with a complete new set of characters (and grind them of course). Can I recommend this game? I would never have bought it at full price!!!
