Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Overpriced for a 1 hour game. Very impressive that all this fit into 100MB on-disk. Actual gameplay, level design, visuals, and music are great. The writing in the narrative pickups could be punched up a bit -- might just be the jarring font choice. Gamepad joystick was too slow, and no slider. Going into steam overlay, there was a slider for one second, but changing it made it disappear. Gave up and used mouse instead. Recommend binding weapons to 1/2/3/... keys in addition to the scroll wheel, just to reduce surprise.
I mean, the game desc. is pretty accurate. It's actually pretty chill for the most part. Note for controller players: There's not a sensitivity slider.

The first-person metroidvania is one of my favorite types of game; shame there are so few of them. This is a pretty good example.
Its pretty satisfying how the alien world's level design loops in on itself as you get new guns that let you open up new areas. Nice short Unreal-esque shooter with that signature poppy lowpoly Renegade Sector look
Ten out of ten on the presentation scale easily. Anything that recalls early era PSX titles (i.e. King's Field) makes me extremely happy, and this one nails it perfectly, complete with cheesy synth and sample soundtrack. It does, however, desperately needs a lesson in show not tell; endless, lengthy, front-loaded text logs do not befit an abstract FPS like this whatsoever, and while no one is playing this for the story, the hypnagogic atmosphere screams for something better than what we're given.
Cool little metroidvania
This would have been interesting as a student project released for free on Itch. It's a poorly executed FPS that clearly had a lot of heart behind it, and is mainly here to tell a story. As a shooter, platformer and "metroidvanian", it fails for a lot of reasons that I'm sure Renegade Sector has grown past by now. The music is alright, the overall look is unique and interesting, and it does a lot with a pretty abstract story idea and very few assets. I think if Samuel Taylor Coleridge saw a video game, he would simply take more laudanum.
I'm reluctant to leave a negative review for a tiny solo-dev project like this... but the game is just not particularly good. It's not bad either, but there's nothing particularly good or interesting about it. Honestly, I was hoping for something much weirder.
(A-) Memorable but short FPS with heavy emphasis on exploration and choosing your fights/path; fighting bosses gives access to better weapons, which is a pretty minimal form of upgrades, but with all the exploration it's definitely a Metroidvania. Perhaps if the game was longer it would start to feel threadbare, but the game is set in one single integrated level, which is large by FPS standards, but then again there's only one level. There's a story told by diary entries that I skipped but in retrospect I regret that, as what story I did ingest was pretty good. At first glance this might look like yet another retro FPS that reaches even further back than doom, but in fact the game is fully 3d with caves and overpasses, etc. But the colors are definitely EGA. Also, it's not really a retro FPS, more of a zelda with guns (I guess that's called a metroidalike?). It's not terribly difficult; although you will die plenty there are lots of restore points scattered around so you don't lose that much progress and half of the point is figuring out where things are and how to get there without too much fighting (at least until the end where you arsonal kills everything almost immediately).
Engaging plot, fun mechanics, short but sweet. Didn't expect the plot to be as interesting as it was, there were some fun twists and reveals I won't spoil here. Wish I saw games like this more often, definitely going to check out the other TotRS titles. Took me 3 1/2 hours to get all of the achievements. Some criticism:
The flame orb is far too overpowered, and far too easy to get. beat the last boss with it in under 30 seconds. Some parts of the game are heavily laggy.
