About
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Aliens universe. This is not a rescue mission – it’s a fight for survival. Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Every room could be your last. Coordinate with your fireteam, leverage each class’s unique abilities, and adapt on the fly as encounters escalate from tense standoffs to all-out war. With deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class, AFE2 delivers the definitive co-op Aliens experience.

Expanding from three to four players, AFE2 introduces deeper team-based mechanics that reward coordination and strategic class composition. New and improved classes each bring distinct playstyles and tactical abilities to the fight, making every squad combination feel different.
The iconic xenomorphs are more ferocious than ever before. AFE2's massive variety of new xenomorphs will force players to stay mobile, maintain situational awareness, and use every tool at their disposal. From stun batons for up close melee action in those most desperate moments, to pyro and electric ammo to whittle down the unrelenting xenomorph front before they overrun you and your squad, the battle can shift from calculated tension to desperate last stand in seconds.
Beyond expanded weapon and gear customization, AFE2 introduces the Specialist – a fully customizable class that lets players mix and match major and minor abilities from every available class. Build a loadout tailored to your exact playstyle and fill whatever role your squad needs.
AFE2 launches with multiple dedicated Horde maps that push squads to their limits. Battle through escalating waves of xenomorphs and other deadly enemies, earning increasingly valuable rewards as you survive deeper into the onslaught. This is where teamwork and skill are tested at their absolute peak.

I want to love this because its alien but that's impossible. Poor level design, aliens spawn up your ass non stop. Aliens will fire about like rubber bands for some reason. Its like they never listened to anyone on the first game and hired even more cringe voice actors with the most diabolical facial animations to thrown in. It feels very cheap and clearly shows no soul or effort was put into making this. Matchmaking is also terribly bad. Have fun waiting 10 minutes for a game. One of the worst uses of the ALIEN IP I have ever seen. I liked the 1st game, it wasn't spectacular but done the job of being a basic horde shooter. This just feels absolutely souless and I hope the devs never touch the Alien IP again if this is the effort they give. Sequels should be at least a few steps forward from the previous game, this is straight up anal discharge. Hopefully they take feedback on board and sort their sh*t out.
I played the first game for almost 162 hours, so naturally I was really excited when a sequel was finally announced. Unfortunately, after almost 70 hours of playtime, my overall impression is far more disappointing than I had hoped. Sadly, there aren't many positive things I can say about the game. In my opinion, the first mission still offers by far the best atmosphere and initially gave me some hope for what was to come. I also like that there are a few more slots available for experimenting with builds. Especially in combination with the Special class, there are at least some interesting things you can try and different combinations you can play around with. The weapons themselves are generally fine, but the gunplay lacks the proper impact and sound design. Many weapons simply sound too weak, which makes shooting feel far less satisfying than it should. In general, I actually like games where a mission takes around 30 to 40 minutes to complete, so the mission length itself doesn't bother me at all. What I do miss, however, is the atmosphere. In my opinion, the first game handled this much better. Its missions had significantly more atmosphere and simply felt much more fitting for the Alien universe. The music and background soundtrack could also have been much more varied. At times, instead of adding to the atmosphere, it feels more like annoying background noise that just keeps repeating itself. The difficulty levels are generally acceptable, but I expected much more from the highest difficulty in particular. You don't really need human teammates. Even on the highest difficulty, the bots are basically good enough as cannon fodder while you do most of the work yourself. For the highest difficulty setting, I would have expected much more pressure, a greater challenge, and an actual need for proper teamwork. There isn't much enemy variety either. There are three factions and a few more enemy types compared to the first game, but despite that, the game still doesn't feel particularly varied. The elite enemies are especially disappointing. They don't really pose much of a challenge. Most of the time, “elite” simply seems to mean that an enemy takes more bullets than necessary. More interesting mechanics, more dangerous behavior, or situations that actually force you to change your approach are noticeably lacking. Another major issue for me is the co-op aspect, which should really be one of the most important parts of an Alien: Fireteam game. Sometimes the hardest part of the entire game isn't even the Aliens – it's your own teammates. Either you can't find anyone to play with at all, or the players you do find constantly run straight into your line of fire. Which brings me directly to the matchmaking, which is an absolute disaster in my experience. At times, it is incredibly difficult to find a lobby or other players at all. For a game that relies so heavily on co-op, this is extremely frustrating. In my opinion, there isn't really a proper endgame either. You can keep experimenting with builds and try to make your way through Horde Mode. However, if you're specifically aiming for the reward at Wave 50, you'd better bring plenty of patience. The mode becomes very drawn-out over time and eventually feels more like an endurance test than an actual challenge. As for long-term motivation, you mostly have to create it for yourself. The actual “story” can be completed fairly quickly, and I wouldn't expect an especially interesting plot or well-written dialogue. The characters, conversations, and overall presentation remain very superficial. There have also been more than enough bugs. A patch was released recently that was supposed to fix many of them, but overall, the technical state of the game still doesn't leave a particularly good impression. Performance itself is fine as long as you're playing solo. In co-op, however, things are different. At that point, you can only hope that the peer-to-peer connection remains stable. For a game that focuses so heavily on playing together, I would have expected a much more reliable technical foundation. And that brings me to what is probably my biggest issue with the game: value for money. In my opinion, the current price is absolutely not justified for what the game offers. Too many parts of the game feel half-hearted. Too little atmosphere, barely any noteworthy story, poor matchmaking, limited enemy variety, an unconvincing endgame, and technical issues simply don't add up to a package that justifies the asking price. After almost 70 hours, I unfortunately feel that Alien: Fireteam Elite 2 fails to make proper use of its potential. As someone who played the first game for almost 162 hours and was genuinely looking forward to the sequel, that makes it even more disappointing. Value for money: Absolutely not recommended in its current state.
Good Game, but don't expect it to be hugely different form the 1st. Some nice changes. There are moans about guns noises not being right. Pretty sure people are just judging the wrong gun. The minor bugs in the game are not damaging to the game play. The only issue is the match making system is garbage and there aren't a lot of player. That all said, if you like these types of games, it's good. There is plenty of progression and builds to play with. The increase in the number of players means they can throw more at you, which is the way it should be. It's not quite "Game over, man!", yet!
Buggy with lag, frequent crashes, wooden voice acting. Not ready for release. Issues even with picking up objects or setting up character loadout.
Loved the first game. And absolutely love this sequel!!
not in this state, it's way too expensive for this quality and optimization. it's not a bad game but i found it near unplayable, the aiming is just terrible and slow, even after adjusting it it's just not great. i might give it another chance one day if i don't forget about it, just not that memorable that would care much if I didn't. Just a shame really because i was really looking for a game like this to enjoy.
The multiplayer in this game is littered with bugs to the point that it's almost unplayable. The rest of the game is ok, but basically the same game as Aliens: Fireteam Elite 1 but worse. This should have just been a DLC for the first game.
I lost 3 hours of progress because the game booted me out of the mission end screen 3 games in a row and didn’t award me any progression despite playing the mission to completion. In one of those games my pick up key didn’t work so I could not open boxes or pick up medkits, there’s also no text chat so I couldn’t communicate that with my team.
