Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

I bought this game by mistake. I meant to get Hi-Fi Rush, which I'd heard was very good. Excellent mistake to make. This game is bonkers, but SUCH a nice surprise. Bizarre weapons, zany characters, a whole city to just go nuts in and smash things. It keeps going in increasingly off-the-wall-directions you can't possibly see coming. A shame it didn't do better because it is a HILARIOUS rush of adrenaline.
You know that thing that you did as a kid where you imagined a figure running across buildings doing parkour during long car rides? Imagine that... but as a game.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 18: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Ran into 3 gamebreaking bugs within 40 minutes of play, including being unable to fire and a hard crash when trying to save. Oh, and the game claimed a corrupted save on first run. I'm sorry man, but I don't care how good this game is. It's 8 years old, this should be sorted out by now.
I initially played this game back on the Xbox One forever ago, then I got it on Steam back in 2019 and played through it again. THEN I remembered this game here in 2026 and immediately went back for round 3, this time 100%ing it. I can't say I've played through many games 3 times, so that's a testament to the love I have for it. This game is just overflowing with creativity, from the much more upbeat take on a "zombie" apocalypse, to the charming characters around every corner. The dialogue is fun and clever, with humor that isn't too dated, the world is bright and extremely well crafted with just how natural it feels to move around in it using the phenomenal movement system that Insomniac set in place. Once you get a feel for the movement, you'll be seamlessly traversing Sunset City, chaining together grinds, bounces, wall rides, vaults, air dashes, and the like. The combat encourages you to be on the move, and luckily the movement system works well here as well, keeping fights interesting and flashy as you maneuver between hordes of OD and all the stuff they're throwing at you. All the while building up style points to activate your amps, making you even more powerful. There are 20+ different weapons, all with their own gimmicks, each being able to level up and attach different amps to. It's hard for me to express just how unique this game is, and how much I desire a sequel. I do think the length is one of the biggest things I'd like to point out to anybody considering the game, it's a relatively short experience that'll probably run you around 10hrs if you just focused on the main campaign. My 100% run, all achievements and all quests, DLC included, took about 26hrs. Which I think is perfectly acceptable, especially if you cop this on sale for like $5.
If I had a nickel for every punk-themed, genre-blending video game published by Microsoft that was criminally denied a sequel, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird it happened twice.
Sunset Overdrive is proof that a game can age without actually getting old. It does'nt feel old at all I finished in aroung 27 hours and this game felt amazing The movement alone carries the game. Grinding on rails, bouncing around the map, sliding on wires while blowing up mutants with the most unhinged weapons possible never stops being fun. The game basically tells you “the floor is lava” and suddenly traversal becomes better than most modern games. Combat is chaotic in the best way, the humor actually lands, the soundtrack keeps the energy up, and the game constantly breaks the fourth wall like the devs are sitting next to you making jokes . Even the boss fights and story surprised me way more than I expected. Yeah, I got the corrupted save file bug, but pressing space literally loaded my last save every time, so it ended up being less of a problem than my sleep schedule after installing this game. One of the most underrated games ever made. Deserved way more attention than it got. 10/10 Experience for me.
Super fun game that feels like mash up of Tony Hawk meets Left 4 Dead, but is ultimately unplayable since the game constantly crashes, black screens, permanently loses weapons and UI, and corrupts all progress. How to fix: 1. disable steam cloud in game properties, keep it disabled 2. delete file contents of C:\\Users\\<YourUserProfile>\\AppData\\Local\\Sunset\\Saves\\<YourUserId>\\steam_autocloud.vdf, save and set to read only 3. download working savegame from speedrunners[.]com 4. delete or relocate all corrupted save files in above directory 5. copy working savegame into above directory 6. enjoy This game has great player customization options, banter, and humour. Rails grinding and overall combat is addictive along with many different enemy types and weapon customizations via amps. Character models, voices, and animations are really well done.
While it may have a few bugs (corrupted save file) and other minor issues at times, it's an incredibly unique and fun third person shooter. -Very fun gameplay and weapons -Perk system with whacky powers -Well crafted city/map that has plenty of distinct landmarks -Fun movement system that is like parkour on crack -Humorous and clever writing that you don't see in ANY games today (think Borderlands but without the cringe) -Lots of memorable characters -Tons of goofy clothing to customize your character with
Sunset Overdrive feels like someone mixed an energy drink with a comic book and then pressed “start.” The city is chaotic, colorful, and completely allergic to boredom. You don’t really walk anywhere — you grind rails, bounce off cars, and fly across rooftops like a caffeinated superhero. The story doesn’t take itself seriously at all, constantly breaking the fourth wall and throwing jokes at you like confetti. Combat is loud, ridiculous, and honestly a blast. If you stand still, you’re playing it wrong. The whole game rewards you for moving like a maniac while blowing up mutant soda zombies with absurd weapons. Is it perfect? Nah. But it’s the kind of messy, over-the-top fun that makes you forget about perfection anyway.
Crashes constantly, saves corrupt.... Support your product, please, developer. Fix this game. You are currently selling a defective product. Allocate a sprint and get someone to fix this thing. It's 1 freakin' bug around Steam Cloud Saves, and if you fixed it, you'd actually sell some copies of this game....
