One of the more pleasant Kingdom Rush clones. In fact, I love it more than the original one. For me, ARM is a genius level game, beautiful, smart, deep, engaging. Look at my play time - I've beaten this game on every new computer, I completed it like five times, all in all. Simply genius. I was there, on that far away planet, helping small bug-eyed aliens to turn the tide against the robot horde. These were my guys - marines, rangers, snipers... And, you know, 'uplink established' is a coolest tower ever. This game obviously has faults, but I am ready to forgive every one of them. Must have for tower defense players who like sci-fi.
The game provides weak upgrades, with a high price for those upgrades. If you can't get through a level, you have no way to increase your level. Hordes of enemies are coming out and your weapons are weak and upgrades are too expensive. It's just another game where the creator thinks that making it too difficult means some quality. It seems to me that everyone who praises this game has played it up to the third level, or they are masochists. So often there is no point in reading reviews.
Good fun for relaxation. Polished, the graphics and music are great and plays well. Would benefit from additional difficulty level(s) to attract players who like more challenge. Well worth the price!
Well, there are alot of "Kingdom Rush" clones out there and if had to line them up, here is my list: 1. Kingdom Rush (extensions excluded) 2. Cursed Treasure 2 3. Alien Robot Monsters PS: Yes, this is my personal list. I haven't played alot of them.
I love good strategy games. Two of my favorites are Defense Grid and Bloons. Kingdom Rush is also excellent. For me, a good strategy game is challenging, but not overwhelming. It let's you win a little but also makes you learn. Most importantly, you should be able to learn and in learning, succeed. That's what makes it fun. And to do that, the game design has to feature consistent game play as well as a learnable upgrade path. Upgrades should be consistent. logical and learnable. There should be some essential information about defenses and enemies that let's you try strategies. I don't feel like this game offers that. Not only are some of the early levels very difficult, but I'm clueless how to win. How do I defeat the swarm of flying robots? More soldiers? More electro-towers? More snipers? For me, this game just became a trial and error that soon became both frustrating and rewarding. On the plus side, nice graphics and animations.
This game is maddeningly hard but super addictive. I am really enjoying it. It is a great game for any price under $10
